  1. ive been known to go out in a t-shirt basketball shorts and flipflops if i know the cache isnt to far out there. otherwise its an old pair of jeans cause they are definatly going to get durty. that and and old hoodie, i dont carry much with me, if i need to i bring a pack.
  2. not in the forums too much but am on the geocaching site all the time. relatively new to geocaching so lately burning lurking on the forums to get a feel for the sport.
  3. if there is a SF Giants game on the radio is at KNBR 680. if theres no game on i find country to be pretty good geocaching music. save a horse ride a cowboy by big and rich gets us juiced. That or some Queen or AC/DC. Can't beat it.
  4. ive got a maha C401FS charger which suits my needs pretty well. i think it is supposed to take about 100 minutes to charge but i wouldnt know, i havent timed it. I use them in the GPS and they work pretty good, havent had any problems with them running out of juice in that but i find the digital camera kills em pretty quick if the flash is on.
  5. snakes scare me. We were out caching one day and my buddy mentioned he had seen a snake in this area the other day... from there on i let him lead the way while i followed a good distance behind.
  6. Being new to the sport i can see how easy it is to let it slip away in a sense. I have only been caching for a few months but have noticed that it gets hard to find time to go caching, outside of school, homework, practice and everything. I dont think that the sport will ever get too large scale to be playable for the reason that people come in and out of the sport. As for too many caches i know around my home there are A LOT. in fact i think the nearest cache is less than .15 miles from my front steps, not to mention the closest 25 which i believe are all under 2 miles. With briones park a 5 minute drive away containing roughly 30 caches i dont think i will ever run out! hopefully the area wont continue to get over saturated, i would like to place my own cache soon. I think that is part of the beauty of the sport though. The places to hide caches are nearly limitless. Even though it seems like there are a lot around here its always possible to find enough room for a film canister.
  7. well im 17 and eat whatever i want, when i want, no matter how unhealthy. I guess when im older ice cream and cookies for breakfast will catch up with me. For now geocaching and 2 - 2.5 hour daily swim workouts keep me around a steady 150. im just under 6' too.
  8. we're two 17 years olds and i turn 17 in 3 days, YES!
  9. YES! post #2! ... Oh yea we cache too.
  10. I was looking at a list of the caches a certain member had found when i came across the webcam cache. I was just wondering if someone could explain to me how this works? Are these cameras hooked up to live feeds on the internet? Just wondering if someone could clue me in on the basic concept. Thanks.
