  1. I fear there is going to be a bit of a webstore joust a little later today... For those just joining us, Circle of Four begins presales at 2:30pm US PACIFIC time TODAY!!! About 6hrs and 45min from now. :D
  2. Just a little reminder... Well... 23 now :D
  3. Yes. The regular versions will be in the store when they arrive.
  4. A set is still 5 coins +1. Distributors will have their own versions, plus I will have my AEs.
  5. Just wanted to say that there are now 10 versions of this coin. I have decided that I am going to mint only 30 of Version A; 15 Version H (AE) & 20 Version I (AE). Versions B-F are regular versions. Version G will be available in sets only. I realize that some of you will be in 'no internet' zones, and some will be fast asleep. However, I am maintaining some pretty strict minting guidelines. Full sets will be limited to 2 per customer, so folks who are going to be getting an extra set for someone who won't be able to... choose your proxy shoppers wisely! "Circle of Four" is being produced in Translucent Hard Enamels and is a 3 level coin. It will be pretty hefty at 2"x3.5mm. As a reminder, PRESALES will begin on Saturday, Aug 6th at 2:30pm US PACIFIC TIME.
  6. Strike #2 from your list. I will post it this week Oooh... I appreciate your kindness very much. But seeing the list again, I immediately realise that I have made a mistake. It is the tiger that I have got - and that pretty horse is still missing from my stable. Just so we're clear, here is a photo of the Carousel Horse versions: The Red Glittered saddled horse was a special edition sent to those who had lost their LE horse during the checkout process in the webstore. There are only a handful of them out there. The Artist Edition is the two-toned BN/G with a Rainbow Glitter horse. What a nice photo! I was fortunate enough to get to buy the XLE from one of the forum members. I'm missing the AE and in fact the satin silver/charcoal RE. Charcoal is probably not too hard to find, but the AE... I haven't seen it offered anywhere, not even once. Rare piece... Well lookey what I found lurking in a box in my closet... I thought I had one of those... I display mine on the Carousel Mousey made for me, so its yours if you want it... ~J Edit to add: "Mine" is displayed. I found an extra. Marie.. its in the mail
  7. Its an addiction... be careful!!
  8. Well who's to say that each of us aren't in the center of our own little worlds? LOL
  9. Just a reminder (and a shameless bump)... PreSales start in 4 days!!!! :D

  12. Alison.. if I had one, I'd have sent you one. I don't have any
  13. Strike #2 from your list. I will post it this week
  14. Moulds and/or dies are kept for 3 years from its last minting. However, on the design above I forsee a copyright issue. Also, 45s were the model for an oakcoins project in 2008... can't remember to group project name for the life of me though.
  15. LOL - Never had a forum post "Muggled" before Edit: Hey... You're only tilting at 23.5° - Nobody's perfect! 2nd Edit: Post #1 can be viewed here
  16. The reason people who purchase geocoins (for the most part, round ones) and then photocopy them and release a "proxy" is to keep the collectible coin in their collection to keep from being stolen. Most activated geocoins are activated to either travel or be discovered at events. Geocoins wouldn't be "Geocoins" if they weren't 'minted' and offered to the general public. We (as designers) often think that the coins we manufacture are traveling pieces of art. There are those however who seek out geocaches specifically to steal them. This has been an ongoing problem for years. To design and produce a plastic poker chip style geocoin wouldn't be worth the time it takes to design such an item, simply because they aren't collectible. There are literally thousands of geocoin collectors around the world who purchase the real mccoy to trade with others. Some collections are in the thousands of coins. Its good of you to ask this type of question in this forum, for you will receive a myriad of answers and comments. There are some inexpensive coins out there though. Welcome to the Geocoin Forum - My only advise here.. be careful, its quite an addiction. ~J
  17. I was just re-reading the thread, and it dawned on me... this sounds like a fast food drive-thru: GD: Welcome to Geocoin Design, may I help you? Greenish: Yes, I'd like the "Big Australia" with the "Prominent Tasmania", Oh, and I'd like a "Little New Zealand" on the side! GD: That's one "Big Australia" with the "Prominent Tasmania" and a "Little New Zealand" - Your order comes to $12 at the first window. Please drive through!
  18. Pre-sale: $ Reservation: No $ ================= My last presale ran smoothly and this too shall pass smoothly into the night. Regular edition prices are $12, Sets are $67. ================= Nobody needs to comment on the 'presale ~ reservation' debate. If you want the coin, get it next week or forever hold your peace @Atwell: Tks
  19. Circle of Four Presale Announcement It is my pleasure to announce the presale of "Circle of Four", which made its debut last week. I am truly overwhelmed by the responses and comments received on this coin, for the design is simply amazing. Thank you all who have made this coin a success. Circle of Four is a multi level coin (3 levels actually). It will contain a number of textures and will be filled with Translucent Hard Enamels. I am just in love with this design. The obverse design features symbols of the Zodiac, symbolic of everything on this planet revolving in a never-ending circle. The center motif shall be filled with translucent enamel leaving the west coast of Africa, Asia, Oceania and Australia (along with its sidekick, Tasmania) in raised metal. Of course, all the metal borders are beautifully crafted florals along with the four compass headings. The reverse design is centered around a beautiful quote I felt appropriate for this design. It reads: "Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes - every form of animate and inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man." The first time I read that, I was truly floored and thought "This is the one". According to the medicine wheel, the circle of the four explains alot on the elements, which surround this quote. Energy, Matter, Time and Space are representative of the four elements Air, Earth, Fire & Water. Circle of Four will go on presale Saturday, August 6th at 2:30pm Pacific Standard Time. Presales will close either when there are no more, or 5 days - whichever comes first. I created 9 versions of Circle of Four for the first production run. There will be 5 regular versions available in the presale: Purple, Red, Blue, Green and Lakota. I created 1 version specifically for eBay and 2 Artist Editions for me to gift out and/or place in caches at my own disposal. I also designed one version that will ONLY be available in set purchases. These coins are limited to 25 sets and the color scheme is a surprise! Therefore, the 25 sets that will be available will be shipped with a 6th Circle of Four coin. I am not going to divulge the color scheme prior to the presale. So, there it is. Production of Circle of Four will take place immediately following the close of presales and will be available around the middle of September. Oh, one other thing. Distributors of Geocoin Design geocoins who choose to carry Circle of Four in their stores will also have unique color versions specifically for their store. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you NEXT weekend at 2:30pm Pacific time.
