  1. A relaunch would be nice, WITH a new icon of course...
  2. Currently making plans for a wild trip next spring: travel to Helsinki by plane, take the ferry to Estonia, pick up the rental car, drive through Latvia and Lithuania, visit Chernyahovsk in Kaliningrad Oblast (Russia) by train and Grodno (Belarus) by bus. Oh, and the official excuse is that I'll be attending a business conference in Vilnius, Lithuania. Got to make the most of it!
  3. Items don't know their location. I'm kind of out of the loop where developing Wherigos go, but my first bet is: you could use Player.InsideOfZones to get a list of zones the player is in, and then iterate over the zones and use Contains to iterate over the items in each zone.
  4. That's not possible, unfortunately. In theory the app could be aware of a mock location being used, but inside the Wherigo itself, the location is just the location. And with a fake GPS that uses root to hide itself, even the app can't know if it's the real location or not.
  5. It might help if you supply what exactly you find limiting. Urwigo is the one and only tool I've ever used for creating Wherigos, and I don't feel limited at all by it. Of course the whole Wherigo platform is one big developer's nightmare anyway, but I don't blame the tool for that.
  6. I'm surprised people are actually using the Geocaching.com map. I've been using the Project GC map for ages now, and gc.com's map doesn't come close to it. So now gc.com has become even worse? That, on the other hand, is not surprising.
  7. I've got a whole trail with caches that require a boat or canoe to get to. It's all about getting permission. Good luck!
  8. Tomorrow seems to be the day that for the first time a cache will have received 10,000 favorite points, namely GC13Y2Y (Lego - einer ist zuviel). Quite a milestone! And considering the small size of the log, I can't imagine the amount of maintenance required. The listing contains no less than 297 Owner Maintance logs! Could this be some kind of record too?
#1 is GC6VTM3.
  12. in July 2019, I will be spending some time in Portland for a business conference. I'm thinking of adding a few days for leisure activities, including, you guessed it, geocaching. Naturally, the plan is to pick up the oldies (GC12, GC16, GCD and others). Could you guys give me some advice what kind of car I should rent to be able to reach those caches? Here, in the Netherlands, where everything is flat, even the smallest of cars suffice, but I guess things will be different over there. A look at the map shows quite a bit of elevation.
  13. I don't really get why some countries don't have any souvenirs? Is it just simply because no one has created artwork for it?
  14. Currently, there are 2 in the Netherlands. A third trail has been archived just last year. Germany also has more than one I think.
  15. Stop accusing me of things I clearly did not do. You, sir, are the one that's being rude. My post to KelKim Team could be more clear, I will admit that much, but calling it rude is just a part of your own imagination.
  16. This topic is not about world caches in general, but about the world cache project started by Datenkaros. Therefore it's more than clear what is meant by 'the team'.
  17. You totally misunderstand. I'm all for another World Cache project, I'm just saying that our project is complete and has been running for a couple of months now.
  18. Here's my stats-crazy list: - complete the D/T grid for Large sized caches - 10 squares to go, but hopefully 8 after this week. - complete the D/T grid for Placed (!) caches - 1 square to go: D1/T5. - complete the D/T grid for the 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th.... 30th? time. I keep insisting that enough is enough, but you know how that goes... - get the Emerald Head-In-The-Clouds badge for having found a cache > 3500 meters. For Diamond, I'll need to get out of Europe. - find my 1001st Regular sized cache (for a challenge).
  19. Thanks, but there is no need, both because the team is complete, and because of the team already having a member from Portugal.
  20. @Max and 99, try MetaVerse, you really don't need any tech skills for that one. Mine is very simple, and still very much appreciated.
  21. I know GS's standards are low, but this is taking things to a whole new level. If you would have any interest AT ALL in what your users are doing, you would NOT have implemented such a stupid update that 'just' breaks every user's profile page. Unbelievable.
  22. Good to know you're here kikinoot. Didn't know about the /dev version, so I had the latest version running on my own server as well. As for resuming development, that would of course be great, but as far as I'm concerned, it's already a great piece of work. ?
