I have a garmin gps 76. Is there any other mapping software besides garmin that can be used with this unit. I find to many mapping errors with garmin

I am new at all of this and I am trying to learn the tracking feature on my gpsmap 76. I have the manual but I can't seem to get a track started. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking to purchase a new gps. I am looking at garmin gpsmap 60csx, 76csx or vista hcx. They all seem to be pretty much the same. Am I missing something?

I currently us a garmin gps V an mapsorce. I f I purchase a gpsmap 60 csx can I still use the old software for detailed street mapping or will I have to purchase new software. Thanks

What are the main differences between etrex legend hcx and etrex vista hcx. I just did a comparasion of the two at garmins site and they look the same to me.

My old gps crashed nad I guess it is time to update and get a new one. I would welcome any suggestions. My priorities are geo-caching and turn by turn directions for when I am traveling. While I don't want the cheapest thing out there, cost is always an issue. Any help would be appreciated. thanks dakota duo

what effect will updating to nroute have on all my old funtions?

How does updating to nroute effect the software. can you still do all the things you could before.

I currently have a Garmin GPS V that works great but is very hard to see when driving down the road. What suggestions can you make for a unit that can be used for caching and to hook up to my notebook for traveling directions? As usual, cost is a consideration. Thanks for any help. Dakota Duo

I just received a walmart add for a magellam 300r for about $300. This looks like a nice unit for the road but does anyone have any experiece goecaching with this unit. Thanks

I currently use a garmin V for trip routing and geocaching. I have the opportunity to buy a magellan 300. The color screen and voice prompts are appealing for trips but does anyone have a thought on this unit for geocaching? How about magellan in general. thanks

I AM NEW TO ALL OF THIS AND I AM HAVING TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING SOME THINGS. FIRST, THE DIRECTIONS ON MY GARMIN GPS V SEEM TO BE OFF. IT KEEPS ON TELLING ME TO TURN ONTO ROADS I KNOW ARE NOT RIGHT AND MANYTIME ARE DEADENDS. THE BEST EXAMPLE IS TRYING TO GET TO MY HOUSE. I LIVE IN BLACKHAWK SD. I LIVE ABOUT THREE MILES DOWN A ROAD BUT THE GPS TELLS ME TO TURN ONTO A DEADEND ROAD BEFORE I GET TO MY HOUSE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. I AM PROBABLY DOING SOMETHING WRONG. DAKOTA DUO
