After weeks of agonizing and researching my Mobi replacement, I finally gave up and bought Cachemate. To those who are reluctant to make the jump, Cachemate is well worth the $8. Even though it requires an extra conversion, it is a MUCH better program. Once you set it up the first time, it's fairly simple to use. If you follow the "Quick Start" document on the website, it will make the learning curve much easier. Using my Treo while caching is enjoyable again.

The latest Google Earth 4.0.2413 (beta) Build Date Oct 31 2006 Icons seem to work now.

I guess you could say that the unlock code that came with the gps is used. You will need to install v4, v5, then v6. Then import all 3 codes using the unlock wizzard. All 3 versions should unlock no problem. I have tried this before when I formated my computer.

It appears that Garmin posted a version with the wrong updater. It has been corrected.

Garmin had updated the Quest to 2.80. As soon as I click the updater, it can't find the unit. It says the device is not responding. If I autodetect, I get an error msg. Tech support is closed at night. Has anyone experienced this problem?

Yes. I bought a Garmin Quest that comes with the full v.6. I am saving the coupon to unlock version 7 when it comes out.

I have used the second unlock code on another unit so it is no longer available.

In my area, I have noticed several smaller back roads added to v6.

It includes a cable to connect to a computer and a cable to connect to your car charger. The software (Mapsource City Select) is required to load chunks of detailed maps.

I bought a new color GPS and must retire my trusty V. It is used but in perfect working condition. It has a nick and a scuff from casual geocaching use but no scratches on the screen. It comes will the original box, manuals, mounts, cables, and software. I am also including a bean bag dash mount, bike/motorcycle mount, and a Garmin carrying case. I am also including MapSource City Select map versions 4, 5, and 6 (v. 6 is the latest update) with full unlock codes for the entire USA. OfficeMaven, you gave me plenty to think about. I use my current GPS V mainly for road maps and travel, geocaching second. I was concerned with the Quest's 1. durability 2. screen size (too small to read?) and 3. external speaker (what does it look like and how does it work?). I am sure I will have to buy all new mounting accessories. The cost scares me. I just purchased City Select v6 so I wish it wasn't included. I love my V and want the closest replacement.

I am ready to retire my Garmin V. I will probably buy the 60CS but the Quest intrigues me. Does anyone have one yet? I need a review from a geocaching perspective.

I received my v6 disk set today. I unlocked v5 in late April and it still wants me to pay $75.

I just received my stone. I LOVE IT! It is well made, looks real, and worth the money. I was suprised how much it weighed. The cachers in my area will hate me soon!
