  1. I have, well had... "Quick As A Flash" GCPFPM, only a micro but will have no doubt floated away by now! Have disabled accordingly. Ta! Dom
  2. As has been said before, never approach a horse from the back and not only can they kick you from behind, but can turn their back legs and kick sideways too. Also, try not to turn your back on them, as I've been nipped this way and it doesn't half hurt! Try not to be scared of them, as they can usually sense this, be brave and if it doubt wave your arms about and shout a bit, they usually just turn tail and run off. If you do have mints on you, many of them will smell them and be all the more interested, so keep them well hidden! D
  3. Thanks for the advice. Have installed GSAK and successfully imported into MM using roolku's script and got the lovely new icons! Much ta! D
  4. I don't use GSAK, so would be interested to know about your scripts for the PQs going straight into MM. Cheers, D
  5. Has anyone got an otter box for a Mio 168? if so, could you let me know which model it is? I'd like to make sure that I get the right one, as I need to make sure that it has provision for the aerial on the Mio. Cheers! Dom "StrongGale"
  6. If you'd like a laugh, read my log for the 2nd, yes the 2nd, cache... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...79-3cd23d41d182 Thanks to John & Chester for helping the guys out with the record. Has anyone got any tips for drying out a Mio 168 that has water under the screen? Cheers! Dom "StrongGale"
  7. This bit of freeware helps you identify if a link from an email (eg eBay, PayPal) is dodgy or not. http://www.realtimecredentials.com/spoofstick/ Cheers, D
  8. That sounds absolutely wonderful, even with a DNF. Just wish I had access to a horse.... :-( Dom
  9. I would be more than happy to convert to LPG, but at two grand per conversion, it's hardly value, is it? Lets face it, we get taxed on everything, income tax, then after that's come out we have income tax, council tax, fuel tax, vat, road tax, beer & spirits tax, ciggie tax, tax on savigs, inheritance tax (if you're lucky enough to get any!) and god knows what else. We better watch it or they'll be having "cache tax" where you have to pay per visit! :-) Dom
  10. If the disk is broken, I'd contact the company directly, as you may be able to get them to send you a replacement for a few quid or even free of charge. Cheers, Dom
  11. Well done to Mick & Chris, who passed 200 on Sunday! Cheers! Dom
  12. Steve, It's... http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=82393 The Kingston one is slightly cheaper... http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=83430 They're not the ultra fast ones, but it runs well enough on my Mio. Cheers! Dom
  13. I've just bought a 1gb Viking SD card from ebuyer for £39.99, including free postage. Used it all holiday while away in Wales. Worked a treat... two mm maps and over 500 caches in gpx format and spoiler pics... still had loads of space left on the card. Cheers! Dom
  14. Think you do it via the manufacturer of your PDA. Cheers! Dom
  15. Don't forget the added bonus of GPXSonar is that it integrates beautifully with SpoilerSync. For anyone using PPC2002, you can use the previous version (the 121 beta) from: http://gpxsonar.homeip.net/Archive/Forms/AllItems.aspx It doesn't integrate with SpoilerSync, but is still decent and both apps can be used in parallel. Cheers! Dom
  16. If you're setting up a new cache, I'd advise going to Wilkinsons, as they do a good range of useful items for both adults and kids at very reasonable prices, eg) Radiator Keys, Coloured pencil set, etc. You can set up a new, well stocked cache for under a fiver. Cheers! Dom
  17. I've recently purchased a Mio 168, which is superb using GPXSonar and MM (includes the point where you are on the map as the 168 has built-in GPS) for truly paperless caching. I simply run the PQ for where I'm going, copy onto my SD card and GPXSonar sorts the rest. Add SpoilerSync into the equation and you've got everything you could want. I like the sound of pulling the waypoints into SatNav. I'm using Navigon Navigator 5 and use POIEdit, so I'm hopeful of pulling them into from the UK site, into POIEdit and then into NN5... will give it a shot when the UK site is back up. Woohoo! Dom
  18. I put a special FTF GeoTag in the last series I did... predictably, StevieP got the lot!!! :-) D
  19. There's been similar problems with a couple of caches here in South Yorkshire... See here and here. SG
  20. Glad that you like them! I'll be on holiday from this Saturday for a week, so if you send in any orders, please be patient and I'll get on with them on my return, when I am all refreshed and enthusiastic again! Cheers, SG
  21. I'm interested in seeing any archived caches in my area, but can't find an easy way to find them. Is there an easy way of browsing the archive? Cheers! SG
  22. Come on you moaning lot, loosen up. Ok, it might have been off topic, but COME ON, it's hardly life or death, is it? SG
  23. I've removed the forum from the site, so it should be now 100% pop-up free! Any questions, simply email us through the site. Hopefully, this will help calm the waters a bit, especially as I've mellowed out a bit (note to self - wait a couple of hours before posting!) :-) Cheers, SG
