  1. There is a GM script that does exactly this. I forget where it is though. I believe you are looking for "Add Waypoint Finder". More information about it can be found that the following link: Add Waypoint Finder I can't get Add Waypoint Finder to work on Chrome. It works on Firefox with no problems though. Has anyone else had trouble with that script on Chrome? It's unlikely any of my newer scripts will work in Chrome, unless it understands how to handle Greasemonkey's @require instruction. All my newer/updated scripts use this for version checking and auto-updating.
  2. If you've got 1"x3" of room, you might want to go with a waterproof match container. They're cheaper ($1 or less) and bigger than a bison, and will work just as well.
  3. Nope. I've seen one. It was made with spray-foam insulation and painted to match the surrounding river rocks.
  4. Could be a bad memory card, or it's not making full contact. Remove the card and then try to power it on.
  5. And all you're seeing is the people who brought up your cache page in their browser. It doesn't include everyone who can view your cache page info via Pocket Query data. It's really just a warm-fuzzy, that doesn't mean anything.
  6. There are free maps available, but they aren't updated often, and don't contain any POI data. Depending on how much you'll be using it, you might consider a Garmin NuMaps subscription. For a one-time price, you get the latest maps and POIs, updated 4 times a year, for the life of your GPS. You do need a fast broadband connection, though, as all updates are delivered over the Internet.
  7. Since the original radiation shell has failed, and the new shell around the old shell won't be finished for several years, I don't think I'll be booking a vacation there anytime soon.
  8. The compass has no affect on GPS accuracy. The 60CSX tells you when you're not holding the unit level, so when used correctly, the compass is just as accurate as a 3-axis compass, and it's easier to calibrate.
  9. Apply Naval jelly as per instructions, then clean it with a bottle brush (that you don't want to ever use again). Then coat it with Rust-Oleum.
  10. See the link I posted in my original message. Sales are to individuals. No need to be a business.
  11. That's where your logic fails. I just don't see this happening in numbers big enough to spur a company to create a website that's going to be a red entry on their account books for a long time to come. If you can buy a high-end GPS, you can probably afford the 57 cents a week for a membership.
  12. If you want custom coins, that's way out of the $15 price range. There are trackable coins you can buy at the geocaching.com shop, but they're of a few preset designs. The "wooden nickle" coins are pretty cheap and fun, but they're not trackable. You can have just about anything put on them, and some people make their own. You can buy blanks at any good hobby/craft store, and just hand stamp them with a custom stamper.
  13. Instead of getting angry, just enter your coordinates instead, and bookmark the page.
  14. Um.. ok. You never got around to telling us what the problem was that you needed to be enlightened about.
  15. That was 4 years ago. I doubt that would get published under the current Guidelines.
  16. What was meant, was a Traditional in the way it's set-up, regardless of how it's labeled. On example would be a single-stage locked cache box, with the chirp transmitting the lock combination.
  17. Try yellow text on a white background. Compare that to bold black text. You really don't see a difference in readability? The fact that you can make good choices or bad choices, doesn't mean you shouldn't have a choice at all.
  18. I think the make-or-break question of the chirp is not how many people will buy it, but how many people will buy a replacement, when one gets taken or destroyed. How many are willing to throw good money after bad, at $20 a pop. I can buy a sack full of lock-n-locks for that.
  19. Some important information was omitted by the previous posters. The "Found" button only appears on the navigation (compass) screen. It only appears if: your target is a true waypoint (not a POI) the waypoint icon matches the unit's Unfound Geocache icon (default is the closed chest, but is user-changeable) you are in Off-Road navigation mode
  20. Install the Log Maximizer script, and you'll have forum-editor-like access to the available codes, including links, fonts, styles and colors.
  21. i believe it depends on what your GPS supports, with the garmin's some Garmins you get the cache info too Fixed.
  22. There is no facility on GC.com for doing this. Caches are only categorized into states, because the cache owner is required to pick the state from a list when they're submitted. It has nothing to do with the associated coordinates.
