I have an older Garmin etrex (Yellow, no other writing or symbols on it). For the last two years I have been able to send caches to it from my computer via an aftermarket cable. About 3 weeks ago the computer suddenly became unable to find the GPS. That same day geocaching.com site said it would be down for awhile. I assumed the problem was connected to that and that it would correct itself when the site finished its overhaul. But, alas, it never did come back. I see in the posts that this problem has arisen off and on for some years. Is anyone else experiencing it now? Can someone tell me how to fix it? I can still load the cords manually, but it is a pain in the butt! By the way, I went to the control panel and looked at the port where the USB to serial cable is plugged in. The computer tells me that the latest driver is installed but that it can't run the device. Code 10, it says. What does that mean? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I, also, am looking for inexpensive GPS for geocaching and I looked at that Bushness Onyx, but its reviews were pretty bad.
