  1. I find these impossible as I can't see properly in my right eye - so 3D films are no real use either
  2. New account, old cacher??? Hmm yeah - and the last person that picked it up (as opposed to discovering it) hasn't cached (roughly) since the Gathering in the Glens event where it went missing until around the date the coin was found in Colorado (a three year gap!) , although they've not logged any caches in Colorado.... I don't care how it got there, or who with, all I care about is the fact that it's back in circulation! True, I've just picked up a coin in Middlesbrough that had been logged as MIA over a year ago and am looking for a suitable cache to put it back in
  3. What I hate is being the first person to tell the owner of the coin that it isn't sitting in the cache and has gone missing... But the tale is very similar to around here, only about 50% of the trackables that are listed are actually there
  4. I'm not a fan of any size cache in/under a holly bush. My third bloody cache was in a holly bush, not the best experience I've had
  5. Thanks for that - these look great
  6. Thanks for these Anne, I've ordered three of these as our two cats are starting to get on a bit (20 years old) and last night one of them gave us a major scare, so I'm getting these to release once they have passed on and one to keep to remember them thanks again
  7. I thought I was behind with my blog Still got several outings to write up - getting the time is a difficulty - but should just get on with it really
  8. I would love a couple of these, especially the red/gold one
  9. As a gentleman of the older persuasion , I was caching just for the fun of finding (and a bit of exercise), but this thread has got me out to the £1 shop and I now have a large swag bag to put something in caches, not necessarily to take anything though - doesn't detract from my enjoyment but could add to the enjoyment of other
  10. BUT. A log to sign means it's not a virtual cache... Exactly why have a Virtual if you can have a nano I take it you maybe one of the latters... Actually no - I love virtuals (and the idea of viruals) as I love Earthcaches, just making fun of nanos
  11. Seemingly there was an incident near Darlington, UK where the drug squad had a tip off about a possible drug stash and found a cache... they signed it, wrote a log and left

  13. ... Just off to throw some old trainers into a tree, for when the virtuals return... This is Britain, wouldn't a public school boy have to be attached to those trainers, or would it be a pair of knickers in a layby??? Or you could always make a Shrubbery Most laybys already have a throw-away film tub near by... Proximity guidelines come into play. Ah, but then the shoes could have a nano inserted into the lace tip (with a suitable difficulty level) - would hate to see the opportunity for a nano passed up...

  15. Always log DNFs, helps people keep up to date As for series - I went to York to do the Wall series, found the first 7 but for the life of me couldn't find the last one even after sitting around checking everywhere for about half an hour But yeah, DNF always logged, no geoego yet
  16. You could always realise that you are unable to do this and place it back exactly where you found it, apologising for the inconvenience
  17. Well after a day in York yesterday, I would say that York is pretty well served with micros - a good series around the wall and quite a few in the city centre - about 50 in that area, though some are fiendish puzzles, which I didn't realise and had to come home to work on them I think it's the most cache rich city/town around me
  18. Was really nice meeting you and your friends Flavio, hope you had a really nice rest of your day
  19. The Church Micro series in the UK has 1310 in it (so far ) Church Micro Bookmarks
  20. This little walk looks a good one GC1A1PP, remember that most of the York and Sheffield town caches will be micros - some like those some don't The series that goes around the wall would also be quite nice #1 - http://coord.info/GC23VTC #2 - http://coord.info/GC23VTD #3 - http://coord.info/GC23VTE #4 - http://coord.info/GC23VTG #5 - http://coord.info/GC23VTH I would do these two in between this point to continue a circular walk - York Micro #16 Walmgate Bar - http://coord.info/GC1N5XR Traditional CacheYork Micro #8 The Red Tower - http://coord.info/GC1FAMK #6 - http://coord.info/GC23VTJ #7 - http://coord.info/GC23VTK #8 - http://coord.info/GC23VTN Hope that's an idea
  21. An Sgurr - information from Walking Scotland - sounds as though it could be fun
  22. Well almost 550 logged now, feels like a good start
  23. We love that area, it is one of the few areas in Britain we go for holidays My two are from Swaledale in North Yorkshire - a series of caches and
