My wife still likes and uses the Merri-Gold from time to time. We download from GSAK to an SD card and yes, still have .gs extensions.

I went caching with friends the other day and I noticed that they had some caches listed that I did not. One was a Premium Member Only cache. We are both Premium members. My PQ has less than 500 caches and I had not checked off any particular type of caches on the PQ. When I got home I tried another PQ but this cache was not on the new PQ. What is wrong?

I own both the Oregon 300 and the PN-40. The wife uses the Oregon most of the time. If I had to choose to have just one, I would choose the PN-40 for screen brightness. These 71 year old eyes appreciate the brightness of the Delorme. Today I had the chance to go out for some caches alone and I took both with me. These were desert caches and the Oregon seemed to be bouncing around alot. They are both very nice units. If I were you I'd go to a store that had both units and try them yourself.

I found my answer over at the GSAK forum. On the right side of the 'Send Waypoints to GPS' page under File Name: Change the default file name to something different each time if you want your Geocaches accumulated rather than overridden:

I am having no problems downloading the same multi PQ's to my Garmin Etrex Vista HCX. Only the Oregon 300 is clearing out the previous PQ. I use GSAK to be able to manipulate caches that I can't do any other way. Targal: I don't see the 'Clear GPS Before Sending' box. Thanks

I can't download more than 1 PQ to my Oregon 300. When I send the second PQ it wipes out the first PQ. I am able to download 2 PQ's to my Etrex Vista HCX. I am sending them through GSAK>GPS>send waypoints

I've had the same problem for two months now. My Nuvi 255W was fine for thirteen months when all of sudden it would report poor satellite reception. After a month of this and doing a reset, I bought another 255W and within a few days it started doing the same thing. Sometimes it would regain satellite reception in a few minutes and other times it would take hours. I know that it wasn't satellite problems because my handheld (PN-40) never lost reception. I did a reset on this one also to no avail. Garmin wants me to send it back but I know that they'll reship it to me saying that everything checked out OK as they have done in the past with my other units.

I upload my maps and geocaches to my Meri-gold through the SD card/ card reader.

Techwiz, What did you use to clean up the old glue mess? Also, since the glue strip sent to me has adhesive on one side only, how will the rubber band stay in place?

A few years ago my screen was turning blue and Magellan tech support told me to try this and it worked: It will erase all your waypoints so be aware. 1) With the receiver off Press Menu and Power Key at the same time and hold them 2) You will see"clear memory" highlight yes and press enter 3) Turn receiver back on and reinitialize it.

I downloaded the Palm software 6.2.2 to my Vista OS and it now synchs with my Palm M500 using the cradle.

Is anyone else having problems not receiving PQ's today. I have never had a problem with this before. I requested four PQ's and all are showing as being sent, but only one has arrived. I use AOL and have never had this problem before.

Jim, What Palm product are you using?

I cannot sync my Palm. I want to use the expansion card. I know how to get the file to the Palm Quick Install area where my option is to place the file in 'Handheld' or 'Expansion Card'. But what do I do from there? What do I need on the SD card? I can't find "Launcher" on either Cachemate or Palm.

I have Vista OS; GSAK; Cachemate; Palm M500 with Palm OS 4.0. I haven't been able to download directly from the computer to the Palm since switching to the new computer and was hoping that I could download to the SD card. Anyone have any ideas?

I am currently using a Palm M500, GSAK, Cachemate and Windows XP. Will that combination work with Windows Vista?

After having successfully downloaded three Pocket Queries to GSAK, I am suddenly getting the following: filter contains 0 waypoints. I have gone back to look at my successful queries and cannot see what I'm doing differently. Help?
