  1. I would call it an activity or a game. A game because there are rules you have to follow. I would not call it a sport because you don't compete in geocaching.
  2. How do you tell GSAK that you want the files on the memory card in the GPS?
  3. I'm from Norway. I discovered geocaching a few months ago. I think geocaching is a great way to get out and around and having fun at the same time. It's a nice weekend activity.
  4. I started with a Garmin nuvi 760 because this was the GPS I had. I found 3 caches and tried to find a few more when I realized I had to get a GPS that was better for geocaching. I bought the Orgeon 550. Now I use my nuvi to drive to the location where the cache is and then I use Oregon 550 to find the right spot where the cache should be.
  5. I'm very new at this. I'm still learning where typical hides are. I figured out really quick that you can't trust the GPS because it doesn't show you exactly where the cache is. That's why it's frustrating not getting any hints on where the cache is. I've found out that it's smart to use google earth to get an idea of where to look for the cache before you leave the house.
  6. I'm looking at Oregon 550 The GPSMaps 62 has tracks and routs does the Oregon 550 have this?
  7. I'm looking for a GPS. I'm only going to use it for Geocaching. I have been reading everything I can find, but I still can't make up my mind on which GPS I should choose. I have naroved it down to these two GPS: Oregon and Garmin GPSMaps 62 (not sure if I should choose 62s or 62st) I need a GPS that will work in winter time. Is the Oregon ok to use whith gloves on?
