  1. What have you used to resize the image? Applications like Photoshop have different ways of resizing, like nearest neighbor, bilinear and bicubic (smoother or sharper). Changing this can give very different results. You can also try to use filters like 'sharpen' or 'unsharp mask' to improve the icon.
  2. Perhaps you can try emailing the GB-team via their profile. I don't handle the sale so I'm afraid I can't help you with this
  3. Saturday September 15th is the start of the 51th edition of the Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett, a race for hot air balloons. One of the teams which ones participated in this race (and is still very involved with it) are also active geocachers and had a geocoin made for this occasion (link to their profile). The front of the coin features a picture of Ernest Demuyter who won the race in 1922, 1923 and 1924. Because of this Belgium could keep the silver throphy 'for ever'. The back shows balloons with the flags of the nations which paticipate in the 2007 edition of the race. The coin is available in an antique gold, antique silver and antique copper finish: The coins are sold at the website of the race. The direct links: Antique gold (9 euro) Antique silver (8.50 euro) Antique copper (8 euro) Of course the coins are trackable with the following icon:
  4. Yep, she did and she also visited a cache near our home. And no big rivers to hold us back All it took was a walk through a nice forest to find the cache and more important: the coin! Geocoin Fairy, thank you so much for this wonderful coin!!! I'll make sure it gets a special place in the collection.
  5. The sale has started The coin is available in 5 different editions: RE - Antique silver SE - Antique copper SE - Anitque gold SE - Antique silver SE - Two-Tone set (2 coins) Complete set (6 coins) The two-tone coin set consists of two coins: a misprint and an adapted new design. Both have the same tracking code. For further specs, please visit the links.
  6. Congratulations Chris and everybody thanks for voting!
  7. As I don't drink alcohol the 'beer volcanoes as far as the eye can see' won't do me any good when I'm ready for them So maybe FSM will trade me one of its coins to enjoy in the meantime?
  8. I must admit I didn't read the requirements until a minute ago and focused on a logo, like last time, instead of a coin design. So no fancy stuff here, like translucent, glitter or even 3D (not my favorites anyway ). I just added big circles in the background and changed some colors to make them more coin-ish... The smaller ones are the original designs. I'm not really happy with the font on the next one, but it will have to do for now.
  9. To prevent any misunderstandings, that should be: trackable at geocaching.com
  10. WooHoo! Maybe I should come to your event :o You are more then welcome, but I think you already know that. Of course everybody else is also welcome Maybe I will
  11. I've gathered a small team to help host an event in the Netherlands.
  12. It worked! This evening, after getting a FTF, we drove to a cache nearby; 'Verrassing' (means Surprise in Dutch) and we were surprised! It was visited last Saturday by the Bunny, so the coin has been in the cache for 3 days. Sunday we were in Belgium, so we couldn't visit this cache. We thought that, in the mean time, someone else would have taken it, but forgot to mention it in his log. But it was still there So Wij Drie, thanks for inviting the Easter Geocoin Bunny and Bunny, thank you for this lovely coin. (because it was allmost dark, we didn't take a picture yet...)
  13. That's not a rumour anymore... Additional coins will be minted and are now for sale (link). Please note that this is now a pre-sale! The second batch of coins will be shipped before the end of March. The first 250 coins are in stock at the moment and will be mailed out a.s.a.p. Thank you all for your support!
  14. I think you mean the Dutch coin club instead of the store I have bought several coins for the coinclub. Some were orders of 50 coins. Everyone of them had a different value on it, some the real value and others $1 or $1.50. None of them have caused any trouble. I don't know if the sender had to pay extra but it sure didn't cost me any extra on this side. I hope this is any help to you.
  15. Wow I can't believe it... Thanks to everyone who voted for my design!!!! Unfortunately is a bit too far away to visit the event itself (only 9000 km ) but I hope everyone has a great time in California.
  16. Here are some pictures of the coin... Gold: Silver: Bronze: Edit: cropped images
