If you can find some events in your area they are a great place to meet cachers from the area and they often form groups that then go caching. Nothing like going out with the pro's. Sometimes you can find events aimed at newbys. Save up and get a gps, it will be worth the investment.

I enjoy the challange of hiding things (sometimes in plain view) that also challange those who are trying to find it.

My Father used to say, "common sense is very uncommom". So I just think of this type of log as just another person with no common sense. Can't be bothered worrying about it.

Nice and welcome.

Check out "gctce4" and read the logs keeping in mind that I can walk by the cache and see it without stopping or slowing down. No, it is not a stinking micro.

There is one close to me billed as the worlds easiest cache. It is on the porch and the owner has been known to put out cookies. Yum.

I cached in Scotland successfully.

I took a picture of a Policeman confronting me on "Jewelrs row" in Philadelphia and won the "Tut" photo contest.

I think it would be better than just sitting in a cache for weeks or months.

I have a new e-trex legend (I only used it to test it out). I bought it for a friend who backed out of the deal and would just like to recoup some of my money. Check it out as to price and make me an offer. hndlbr aka Paul

Hi everyone! I am looking for an inexpensive GPS receiver for my nephew. He has quite a few caches in his neighborhood/surrounding area and I think it would be neat for him to learn how to use a gps unit.
I have a garmin eTrex legend, nothing fancy but it does the job. Anyone have anything of that caliber or lower for sale? I am located in Southern California.

I use a leather fanny pack and take the following...gps, flashlight, digital camera, 35mm film container with cito bags inside, pda, coins for trades, personal TB for logging miles, several $20's, credit cards, cell phone with charger and they all fit nicely.

2 more finds and you're hooked. I'll pray for you.

Welcome. Visited Scotland with Grandkids and was able to find a cache at the Castle in Edinboro.

I go to Wally World (Wall Mart) and they usually give them to me. If they ask I tell them it's for a scout project rather than a long explanation.

I have done that in the past and will continue when I can obtain film containers but they are getting harder to find as people switch to digital. southeast Pa.
Just testing
