  1. I've had it twice before, quite painful indeed. I have a fabulous massage therapist who worked on it for about 30-45 minutes - very painful - and it was sore for a couple more days, but it was gone for 3 years before it came back and I had him work on it again. That has been about 2 years ago this time. I have high arches and try to always make sure my shoes have support.
  2. I'm not nearly so experienced as probably a good many of you, but I do have some caches (still new) and I read all the logs, but I would expect if there was a real problem, that someone would post a NM log. I myself have only done on NM on one cache and a NA on another fairly new one. The NM had multiple found it logs with notes of how bad the container was. When I found it, it was a sandwich baggie holding a smashed film canister and had spiders living in it. The NA went to a cache that I pulled up to, and the land owner approached me, we had a discussion and he was very unhappy that someone had placed a cache on privaty property. He mentioned that was a good way to get shot. Luckily, the CO archived the cache within 2 hours of my log.
  3. I enjoy signing the log - gives me a feeling of accomplishment!
  4. I watch some that I couldn't find to see the next logs. Then if it is found I can go back to it.
  5. I think this is what you're speaking of: Where's George and Geocaching Exactly!! But pretty much a dead practice, moving them in Geocaches. Despite mymren's origami efforts. It's probably sitting on his bookshelf, never to be unfolded...

Forum Runner is another good app (iPhone)
  7. I do Where's George and left a bill for the FTF in two of my caches. One was big enough to do an origami fold making it look like a frog. They have yet to be entered again...
  8. I pulled up to one that was down a steep hill and was looking at my phone when a man drove up to me and asked what I was doing. After a short description of geocaching, he told me that was private property, had a steep 500 foot drop off not to far away, and was likely a good place to get shot at. I did a DNF with a long note. The CO archived it about 3 hours later.
  9. Mushroom - how do you decorate them? Do you have a picture to post?
  10. Our store is across the street (state hwy) from a track - and people continually try to set up watermelon stands, flag sales, etc on the catty corner from us. The RR keeps chasing them away, so I know they don't want them on their property.
  11. Very tacky, but not as tacky as a wedding invitation asking for money...
  12. I try to finish my 2-5 caches in a morning on the days I can go before 10:00am because of the heat. Haven't been able to go since last week and probably not for another week. Dogs got into a terrible fight and having to to do meds and baths for two of them since then for a few more days. I would love to go every day but that will never happen...
  13. Gorilla Glue works great on lots of stuff also (you just have to check it while drying to pick off the expansion)
  14. I don't get it bad at all but hubby does (thou he doesn't cache with me). So I guess when I put warnings in my logs (where it is prevalent) then I'm not really being a "cache police"? I just would hate for someone really allergic to get covered.
  15. I keep a container of baby wipes in my car, so when I get back I can wipe my arms and legs down if I have come in contact with it.
  16. These are a hoot! Thanks for sharing - I subscribed to your channel!
  17. hzoi, sounds quite reasonable, probably too expensive(?) to bring them back with other equipment.
  18. Thanks for wasting my afternoon! I just sat and had to read a bunch of these while rolling on the floor laughing! I found a similar website about a year ago where the baiters do the same type stuff. SO much fun to read!!
  19. That is a good link, thanks!
  20. I just called a military surplus store here to price ammo cans. He only has the 50 cal which are now going for $20. Says he used to be able to sell them for closer to $5. I asked if he had the 30 cal size and he didn't. He told me they are getting a lot harder to find now because the munitions plants are destroying them. I was wondering if anybody else has heard this?
  21. Pretty evergreen, but won't the a/c get overheated quickly?
  22. Those are travel bugs you can get in the store. I have one on my car. It has a unique number just like any travel bug. When you see one, you record it as "visited" unless you actually stole the car!
  23. OMG! I'm glad I've never seen that stuff! How horrid - what part of the country does this grow? Can't something be done about getting rid of it?
  24. I've never seen that in our area, but we have plenty of poison ivy, some as tall as that, some short. If there is a lot of it, I give a warning since many people are very allergic to it. I'm not, but my husband is (though he doesn't geocache with me). I keep a package of baby wipes in my car to wipe my legs and arms down when I get back if there is. I don't usually notice it until I'm leaving the cache since I was looking at the screen on my way.
  25. I leave Pathtags and would love to find more. They are closer to $1 each if you order 100-150 so are as cheap as average swag and doesn't matter if they get wet either.
