    Sad news for one of our own

    I must admit that your personal message to me this morning....stunned me. As others here have said, you have been a very honest and generous person. No doubt that these traits were passed along to you by your Dad. Sounds like he was a great man.

     

    As I told you earlier, I do plan on meeting you in person sometime, and it would be an honor to visit your Dad's final resting place with you.

     

    Please keep in touch...as I have told you privately, this time of the year is also a poignant one for me and my wife, since both of our Mothers passed away in December right before Christmas many years ago.

     

    Thank you to "fox-and-the-hound" for bringing this topic to the fore-front, so that we may try and comfort a fellow Cacher/Coin Collecter: Glennk721....

     

    If we don't hear from you for awhile, we will understand...

    MISSION: Secret Geocoin Santa

    Thank you very much...GeoCoin Secret Santa...I was afraid that my package would not arrive until after Xmas...

     

    We were having our traditional Chinese Food lunch and Secret Santa gift exchange at the office, when the Letter Carrier shows up with a RED Bubble Mailer? Open it up only to find foam padding....wait, there is a little red box inside tied with Gold Thread.

     

    I carefully open the box.......(insert drum roll here)....what do I find? (another drum roll).....what coins are these? I've never seen them before....didn't even know they existed. After doing some research...I'm very thankful to have them.

     

    1. Cache Hiker - Artist Edition (Only 15 made!)

     

    2. Black Racer GeoCoin - Artist Edition (Only 16 made!)

     

    And finally...

     

    3. GeoCacher On Board? "This car makes frequent and erratic stops" (Can't find any info on this one...I would like to know more).

     

    Secret Santa....you did an awesome job! And thanks to the USPS, they were delivered on time.

    I go absolutely nuts when I get an unexpected coin in the mail and this one is a beauty!!!!!!! yipee!!!!! **giggles** :D Then if I'm not nuts enough...the mystery of a mystery coin drives me even more nuts (in a good way of course!!) :(
