  1. There are many caches out there that I would award more than one favorite point to if I could. This feature would help people to see more accurately what the most well-liked caches around them are. Many caches are not found by many people, maybe because of high terrain and/or difficulty ratings and because of this, even someone hides an absolutely amazing cache that is, say a 3.5/3.5 it will not get as many favorite points as say, a mediocre cache that is a 1.5/1.5. This disproportionately reflects how well liked these caches are. But if more than one favorite point could be awarded to caches that would more accurately reflect how well liked the caches are. Note that I'm not suggesting favorite points become easier to obtain, I just think that if you find a cache that you greatly enjoy, you should be able to award as many of your favorite points to that cache as you like. I understand that this could still be impacted by how many people have found the cache but it would greatly lessen the effect, and also show you just how well liked the caches were by the cachers that have found them.
  2. To say that this kind of cache would solicit biology would be the same as saying that an earth cache solicits the planet, that a traditional solicits going outdoors, etc. The controversy that this type of cache would solicit anything in particular should not be a reason to disregard it at all.
  3. The EXACT words that relate to this discussion are; Geocaches do not solicit for any purpose. Therefore it will be against current guidelines. This would not solicit anything, the replies in this section by the author of the post more clearly present the purpose of the new cache type.
  4. Untrue. Puzzle caches do not have specifications for if there is a single container at the end, a multi, a letterbox... or a trail of reflectors. I think that there should be a night cache cache type as well, the attribute is not mandatory to be on the cache page and many, if not most of the night-caches out there do not have the attribute implemented. It would also encourage people to find night-caches for the little icon and encourage the growth of this unique type of caching that, for me, has always been very enjoyable.
  5. I love the idea of the cache but at first glance, while I do agree with many of the principles the term 'Envirocache' and parts of the letter led me to think of, such as effects of man on the environment, I did also think that it was pushing an agenda that many would disagree with. Reading into more of the replies and further description of what an 'Envirocache' would entail it seems to me that maybe 'Biocache' or something of the like would be a better term for the kind of cache we are discussing as it puts emphasis on the biological standpoint rather than environmental, which can be more easily taken as the pushing of an agenda. The term 'Envirocache' also sounds much more like an Earthcache while a Biocache sounds much more unique and different.
