  1. I don't know what the official position of the Foundation is supposed to be from Groundspeak but I can tell you with zero uncertainty that my Wherigo caches weren't publishable until I removed references I had to the Wherigo Foundation. I don't get it... it's keeping the THEIR product alive. Why do you think I am not allowed to the reference?
  2. This, But looks like you caught on. :-)
  3. LOL. Sorry, no offense, but I got a laugh out of the irony between your trade and the topic subject line. I live in a glass house so I'll move on now. :-)
  4. THIS. You don't need to enter a completion code to FIND the cache. The only requirement to find the cache is to sign the physical log.
  5. It's a DNF for sure. You may have spotted it but you didn't "find it" in such a way that warrants a find, based on the guidelines.
  6. I am not interested in blasting or debating Groundspeak because they "own" the game and I'd never win. But this inconsistency right here is what I am referring to when they read the answers to my questionnaire that I recently took. And why I am not likely to recommend the game to anyone I know. I only keep playing because I am weak.. and have nothing better to do.
  7. My goals for 2019 are the following.. 1. Attain 1000 multicache finds (~200 to go) 2. Complete the Wisconsin county blackout (3 counties to go) (it's not my home state) 3. Get to 1000 counties found cache in (~150 or so to go) 4. Add two countries to the found list Only two of the four will be reasonably attainable.
  8. A couple of local geo-art projects would help with that ;-)
  9. Ha, I've found, AND LOGGED, archived caches on several occasions. I even had the privilege to log an archived cache by the OP of this thread. :-)
  10. I love the irony between your post and your tagline.
  11. THIS RIGHT HERE. I run an email server and on any given day, if you peruse the server logs, you'd be shocked at how many dictionary attacks take place. It's easily over 75% of the load on my mail server.
  12. I know most of the dialog above relates to the family friendly topic. But I wanted to go back to the original reason why it was disabled. This sure flies in the face of all of those EC's that require a paid fare to get past the security checkpoint at the airport. I've never understood how those are allowed.
  13. Kind of creepy to defend an incorrect assertion made by a profile stalker. But thanks for your off-topic contribution.
  14. It is when the creepy stalker wants to incorrectly prove some point.
  15. No, if you're going to be a creepy stalker at least figure out that I don't own 675 active caches. But that I've hidden 675 caches in my 13 year geocaching history.
  16. Huh, I only have a BS in chemistry so I am far from being an expert, and probably bordering on geologically stupid. But my opinion when I think of granular is solids mixed together (and hardened by time and pressure). For instance, sandstone would be granular. And though granite appears to be granular, what you're really seeing is crystals that were formed by a chemical process. But what do I know.. my ECs are pretty lame.
  17. It's those "nearly perfect fit" baggies that cause most of them be ripped apart in record time.
  18. Excuse me? I find about 1100 caches a year on average and if I had to fix every cache that needed work, THAT'S ALL I'D BE DOING. I understand the concept of helping out once in a while but I didn't sign up to fix other people's garbage.
  19. You were triggered enough by "macro logs" that you archived caches? Dude.. as Tripper says to the kids at Camp North Star.. "It just doesn't matter.." :-)
  20. I envisioned someone of your geocaching stature using a top of the line Garmin. Thanks for ruining that image ;-)
