Yeah, I've been sort of waiting to see one. Might be interested, but would like to see the actual coin.

Guess I'm the odd man out...I like the silver, but I like silver in general. Looking at the pictures of the front of the coins it seems to me that the silver edges don't stand out as much as the gold when the coins are all together. Maybe that's just me though. Either way I love the coins...gold...silver...both are great.

Hopefully ParentsofSAM is correct. What coin are you expecting from them? If this isn't the case, maybe it's still just an issue with communication. Maybe someone here knows the person(s) and can give you more info, or can talk to this person. Maybe I just have high hopes though.

I've thought about doing the same thing except I've been a member for about 5 years, and hate to go back and log my coin to caches that old, and a lot of them are archived. I do have a mini micro coin that is through travelertags.com so maybe I'll just log my miles there so I don't cause an uproar with the old caches.

Yeah, mistakes happen. The good news is whoever owns the coin will probably be pretty excited to see it pop up again in the wild.

Got my 2 Dorkfish coins today....these coins are awesome. I'm really surprised about the glow, it's very bright.

Your GPSr might at some points be as accurate as 3 ft...but that isn't the norm. I'm not familiar with your unit, but somewhere it should show how accurate you currently are. If I'm in a fairly wooded area it's not out of the ordinary for my GPSr to be +/- 30 ft accurate. You just have to take that into consideration. Look into your manual and you should be able to find the screen on your unit that shows how accurate you are. Just keep finding the easier rated ones until you have a few more finds under your belt. You'll start to know more what to look for once you get close to the hide spot. Personally once I get within like 30 or so feet I tend to put the GPSr down and start looking for any obvious hiding spots.

Ideally I'd say keep all coins till the event so that everyone that attended would have the chance to get one. In reality I think selling the coins to help fund the event is okay too. I guess if you need to sell some to help the funds then just mention there will be X number of coins available, first come - first served.

Just noticed your update. Honestly when I first read your post I was wondering if you were taking orders or not. It said the sale was on 3/2, but then it said send this info. And that you would be sending invoices once you started receiving emails. So I followed everyone else in ordering...lol. Didn't want to chance missing this coin.
