  1. Ditto I did get one when the Servers were up earlier in the day. But none since then, I still have 3 PQs yet to run and they weekly ones that normally run around from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM CST.

    My GPS

    My Biggest issue with the new Feature is that it only let's me choose 1 GPS. I use 3-4 GPSs for Geocaching at times. Because each one has its qualities that I would need on the trail.
  3. I did that for awhile when I was new to Geocaching. I even seen it where the first Geocachers used big binders of all the cache pages. Paperless is the way to live in Geocaching. The stuff I use (iPhone + Garmin Colorado) has declared me independent from print outs. (also besides the fact that I am saving a bunch of money on ink and papers and not getting any trees cut down for paper on this.)
  4. Well my lost emails are now starting to come in. So the mail is not lost. The problem seems to have been fixed for now. (/me waits for all emails to cache up)
  5. As of right now I first noting the problems starting at around 5:00 PM my local time (Central Standard Time Zone UTC-6) which was about 20 hours ago. I was getting a few of my emails then but not all of them I did managed to run a Updater Query and get it in my box, Since then I only had 1 email from about 10 or so finds and my Geocoin Movement emails have not came in so I suspecting that as of that point I was losing around 95% of emails from Groundspeak. I made the post here last night as a notice to let the staff know that something is wrong. If I could call Groundspeak directly about it to see what is going on I would, Emailing them would be a different story as I am unsure they would get the email as they could be having the same problem on their end and wouldn't get the email anyway. As of right now I am confident that the emails are not lost but are being held up somehow. When the staff gets around to the problem I should get those emails. I know its hard being patient for a service that I am paying for and for some they didn't the get queries that they need on time. I am in the same boat with ya. I really want to update my statistics on my page with the My Finds PQ (Which I still hadn't got yet). I am hoping the staff take care of the problem real soon.

(Right now I am confident that I didn't lose those emails as of yet so I am patient about it however it is hard to be that way for a service I paid for. Also some Geocachers have already been impatient due to the fact they needed an up to date PQ for a Hunt.)
  7. I am having this problem right now as my Pocket Queries are being ran and my caches are being found. But I only get like 1 email from about 7-8 others that I should be getting. I am on Gmail so I am wondering if they had suddenly started throttling or blocking most emails from Geocaching.com or are your guys email servers are acting up. I am hoping gmail hasn't decided to start throttling the emails because I don't have anywhere else to go to get PQ's to work right. Is anyone else in Gmail or Outside Gmail having problems?
  8. ^ That is the only thing that seem to be working right now. Recreating the Pocket Queries. But that is also could be causing the problem too as those new ones create new server loads on Query Server and pushes the older ones back. I wonder if that is causing the problem (everyone recreating new Queries and running them). I had to do this myself but only on a Updater Query that gives me updated caches from the last 7 days. I hate doing it but I needed new information bad because it didn't run 3 days in a row.

  10. ^ Well heres the problem. I even heard horror stories about them taking your cellphones, PDA, and other devices also. So your not even safe being paperless ether.
  11. They finally ran after 5:45 PM CST, With the last one being ran at 7:15:01 PM.
  12. I am gonna see if retoggling them would make them run. If not then certain people are having this problem as I am now thinking it is isolated into certain PQ servers but not the ones you guys have got yours on. I think I have seen in the past that it concerns certain accounts beginning with certain letters that it affects as you guys have accounts that start with J and one that starts with C, maybe your servers that your PQs come off of are in working order.
  13. The problem is only occurring with my IE 6 Browser. I am not sure if its going on with IE 7 and I refuse to install it because I am now using FireFox instead and a new IE would just make my computer slower because the way MS installs stuff (I recently had to degrade my windows for that reason). I would quit using IE6 for a browser if GSAK would use FF instead but by default and I can't seem to change that I can't make it do that. Now that why I should upgrade my IE stuff has been commented on, and I wont keep getting quoted on get IE upgraded now. The error I am having to deal with is only occurring when I try to view a cache WebPage while logged out form gc.com. For Example I am trying to view theCache Here in IE-6 I get the error box saying to submit what I have been doing to cause the error, while on the other hand on FireFox 3 I get the regular Cache Page which the message that is saying Please Log In. I used to actually get that same page that I am currently getting on FF3 on my IE6 but for some reason in the last few weeks it has changed to that error page. Now when I am logged in I get the basic cache page on both browsers so its not happing there and it does not matter rather I found the cache or not I get the same error page and BTW these are happening with both subscriber and non subscriber caches too. This problem is currently more less a nusense, but it will get worse if I start getting the same error page when I am logged on those same cache pages. Please post if your having the same problem outside IE6 or any other browser or post if the problem has been fixed.
  14. I am just wondering if has anyone else got their PQs yet for today as I haven't had mine run r get sent to my email box yet today. I checked on my Query Page to see if they even ran but they didn't I even have some new ones there that should have already ran, but didn't. Did you guys have the server shutdown for Christmas? I need to know as I have to rerun them on one of my back up (days where I have no set PQs to run as I want to have those when I need to run a PQ on the run tomorrow is one of those days) days.

  16. I am tring to make some TOPO Maps of the Kansas City Region 1:24 quality (10 foot contours) for my Garmin Units, but one of the programs I am gonna have to use to get it to work is GPSMapEdit. The questions that I have for GPSMapEdit are: 1. How long does the Shareware trail period last? It doesn't say how long anywhere on the site. 2. What happens when this period end? Will the software simply nuke itself where it doesn't work anymore or what happens? I am wondering about this because I am not yet sure if I want to spend $70 (The price now is $65 but its a international purchase and my card company likes to tack on extra fees due to this, also the price might go up because of the dollar becoming weaker and weaker.) on the software yet. It sounds like its intresting software and I would like to play around with it other than making the topo maps.
  17. I have a few more questions for this unit after playing with it a bit. 1. Where do I put a lanyard for this unit? 2. What are the differences of Blue Chart North America and Inland Lakes for it? 3. If I buy the 500i will I get the full version of the Inland Lakes software loaded into it? I am considering the 500i as I got the older Topo software and I can buy new one for less than a $100 while Inland Lakes cost more around $119.00. 4. Does the Paperless Geocaching Mode display gallery pictures or catch listing pictures for solving puzzles, etc? 5. Does anyone have any screenshots of a sample Geocache listing for this unit, so I know what they look like? 6. Does that Geocache listing look the same when using the GSAK macro? That is about it on my questions for right now I have on this unit. I want answers to them all before spending $600 on one of these.
  18. OK, I have a couple of questions on this unit. 1. Will the topo maps set I recently very recently bought which was US version 3.02. Will this version work with the Colorado and show 3D mapping with it? 2. What are the size dimensions of the unit by inches?

  20. If you guys been aroudn here long enough. You would relize that this happens quite often and I have gotten used to it especailly if they did some changes durring week as it appears they had with that new error page in which I am having issues with. This topic is not to discuss about why in the heck I am spending $2.50 and month about this, it is about the problem with my account page. I put my premium membership to good use and use the tool GSAK along with PQs to keep me up with my Geocaches even if the site is down. Now as I mentioned in the other topic. The only page that is not working for me is my account page at http://www.geocaching.com/my and what its doing is hijacking me to the error page to a different address at http://www.geocaching.com/error/general.aspx, disabling my ability to use the F5 key. I am considering sending in a support ticket over this new site problem as If I get this page while submitting something my browser would automatically bring up that error page even if its working because, one it changed the address to directly the error page and not the page I needed, and two my browser has a screwy cache (Temporary Internet Files) system. Anyway as I siad in the other thread that is the only page that issn't working for me and to me right now I am not having slow site problems anywhere else.   22. I am getting the same problems and going back to the same page is forwarding me to the error message page. I winder if its working but it's forwarding me to this page becasue of a short time out counter? BTW much of the rest of the site works fine through direct links. Its just the My Account Page doing this. This wont affect my Geocaching for tomorrow as I got a thing called a Pocket Query and GSAK. So my caches that I want to find are already listed there.

  25. I am posting this to see if anyone else been getting this problem. When ever I move one of my bugs around I should get an email about it. However last night when I activated a few of them then placed them into my home box (The closest archived cache to my house) here at: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f0-4a99fbbf270c I only got 1 email when I drop this coin here http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1301490 but the other 6 I dropped including my personal Mileage Coin ( http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...79-c4c04c3eb05f ) didn't get a email notification. The coins that I dropped were activated Last Night (Oct 4th) but I decided to do a bug drop into that box dated Oct 3rd which was my last caching day. I am wondering if this could be what is causing it or not? Please note I tried other emails also, I also posted a note to one of my caches and didn't get a Log Owner message there ethier so it makes me wonder if there's a problem on the server side. I even done some notes on my mileage coin at http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...79-c4c04c3eb05f and still got no emails. The Contact me and Pocket Query's still work though. Is anyone else getting this problem?
