  1. Hi J27Smith, we would like to team up to find the cache. We will visit the Bakersfield cache in the next few days. Will send you a message to your account.
  2. First, you could not be further from the truth than saying we would claim we found it that way. If we had the slightest inkling that our caches were bothering anyone, we would have ceased these hides. We don't even know you, why do you assume you know what we would do? You have logged finds on these caches of ours and never even hinted that you were unhappy with them, why not? Maybe even send us a private message. We didn't even know there was an issue until you posted a snide comment about our cache on another cache's page. Next, we enthusiastically DISCOURAGE any cacher for giving you flak about this, you are obviously passionate about this issue. Finally, we enthusiastically ENCOURAGE you and others to let the CO know if you have a problem with a cache, its the polite thing to do. In general we are not ogres, and passionate about geocaching too.
  3. I had the original problem using Firefox. Went and tried IE, then Google Chrome (no error, but I couldn't load there either). Went back and tried Firefox again and it worked.
  4. I am unable to load caches either, (from my desktop PC). I get a message saying I have to agree to Terms and Conditions and click Submit. I click the box, click Submit, nothing happens.
  5. After reporting this problem on December 8th, on December 9th I received an email from Grounspeak: "Thank you for contacting Groundspeak. We've received your message and it will be reviewed shortly. If you would like to view your request online or update us with additional information on this same topic, please follow this link: https://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=request.check&id=326396sxwupf&id=326396sxwupf Request access key: 326396sxwupf" Having heard nothing back, today I clicked on the link and get this: "This request has been closed and is no longer available for public viewing. If you need to create a new request please do so by clicking the link below or login to see your complete request history. Login or Submit a new request" If I click "Login", it just repeats the same thing, I cannot view my request or its status. Do they just close problems and not send an email? btw, ithink314's Trackable count has went from 10,000+ to 326. It looks like it was possibly fixed, but I'd like to know how it happened.

  7. Actually, I don't think that email notifications go out for discoveries anyway...only for pickups or dropoffs. Not discoveries or visits. Or am I wrong about that? Yes, emails are sent when a discovery is logged. That's why these discoveries are so disturbing to everyone. This problem was reported to Grounspeak last Sunday and you can read about it in our thread. Their trackable count is decreasing day by day as people find and delete their logs.
  8. I agree that the disturbing part of this is we were not sent email notifications. How was this account able to log thousands of discoveries in a few days and none of the coin owners were sent emails about the discovery? Virtual loggers exist, no biggie. We get the email, delete the log if we so desire, move on. I just reported this to Groundspeak yesterday and received an email today saying that they are looking into this, so I'm sure they will figure it out.
  9. btw, this looks like a valid geocaching account. Could it have been hacked for this purpose? If someone did that it is really rude.
  10. I have been getting several bogus logs a day for a few days, by cacher "ithink314", (I have deleted them). Looks like they are logging hundreds or thousands of coins a day. If you view their list of 10,000+ trackables they are mostly in the last few days. Here's what is strange about these discoveries, I am not getting emails for the discoveries. I just happened to be looking in my collection, sorted it by newest log, and found a bunch of logs on coins I have never released. I have reported the problem to Groundspeak, but you may want to check your collections. My guess is if you have a large amount of coins you are getting bogus logs and don't know it.
  11. Actually it could be thousands a day they are logging. Bring up their trackables list and pick any coin they have multiple logs. Almost all were discovered in the last week.

  13. Post it to an archived cache page or something then use that link. Took me awhile to remember how to do this. After posting the photo to any cache listing (your 12-12-12 event is perfect), right-click and cut that image location, then add a log here. When adding the log, there is a row of font and other buttons near the top. Two buttons to the right of the there is the 'add image" icon. Click the add image icon and paste the location you cut into the box that appears.
  14. Here's Bakersfield's artwork. Looks really good to me but I'm not sure how to read all of the levels. If any of you experts see a problem with my color/layer selections, please help me out. The outer rings on each side have no enamel, just nickel. Thanks!

Do I need to resend something or is it just taking longer than expected? C A Royal Flush Please email me if you are not getting the information that you need. We are working with everyone to get the artwork right and approved. There have been small delays in some of the artwork trying to get the Glow to work. Venting on the forums is not the fastest way to get responses. Emailing is much faster to respond too. Interesting, when JoenSue ask this exact same question, you thank them and get their artwork to them that night. When I ask you call it venting. Thank you. I will get you your artwork tonight.   20. Just email me your color selections. I will have artwork drawn up for your approval. As for the trade, I will defer this to the way it has been done in the past. However, everyone who clicks on participate in the trade will recieve an email clarifying the total order and have the amount included. I entered my color selections in the spreadsheet. Can you draw up the artwork from there?

Is this the background behind the ?3? horizontal pointers? Is submitting my colors good enough? Lastly, there seems to be differing opinions on the “Opt In” for trade. If I buy 75 and opt in for trade, and lets say 25 others opt in. Do I still pay for 75, get 25 of the others and 50 of my own?
  22. Even better, can we get a list that corresponds to the artwork stating whether or not each item has levels. Example: Front 1 - no levels 2 - levels (suggest transparent) etc. Also, what does the column "art work submitted" mean? Does that mean colors submitted, and should it be a date?
