  1. What a shame to archive this cache Mr. Fen Dwellar. It is a classic. MR and I specifically chose this one for our 1200th. Why? Because it was a challanging cache and we wanted to do something we had to work for. AND it was worth it. We so-called bushwacked to the cache. LIGHTLY. Meaning; we did not cut down anything, nor did we blaze a trail to the cache. We went over and under and through. So much so, that I know that no one could of tracked the way we went in. As far as other trails "being cut". Well... we didn't happen to find any that day. There is an easier way in. Some are lucky to find it. Others not. I too wish there was some way to get it across to people that if you want to do this, look at the rating. Then be willing to work your way to the cache in a proper manner. Even if it takes getting muddy and scratched or whatever. Or possibly be lucky and find the easy way. I choose to post this on this thread rather than the cache page because I feel very strong about this cache and it's related circumstances. I think people need to be aware. Thank-you, Donna Where's the growl smile? PS I know of other cachers wanting to do this one that haven't had the chance yet. It would be sad to archive it.
  2. No, all City Select areas are unlocked with the one code.
  3. Hey... am I seeing things or did EGH get 1400 today? Way to go my friend. Mr Wienerdog
  4. Thanks to all for the congrats on 1200. Finally found Ms Wienerdog and she is now back up and running again! Mr Wienerdog
  5. What, you mean you tossed it out into the Sound!?! Seriously, I simply pulled the location of the cache in which each coin was last seen. #131 came out of KIDNK9, so that's why it shows up there. I'd put the coordinates of your home address, but I didn't figure that you'd want coin seekers showing up at all hours banging on your door (Seth! )! The process of going through the coins led to some interesting observations. There are several cachers holding multiple coins. I don't mind if people want to keep a coin, but I'd sure like them to move some of their duplicates. Big duh on me! Funny MTB! You caught that quick. Okay I get my left and rights confused too! I also still count on my fingers! East of Richmond Beach. Thanks for the X PLANE HING.
  6. Shortly before Donna disappeared into the unspeakable muck, She had a wonderful photo-op with the Fen Dweller! That Fen Dweller lives in a mean part of town! One visit is quite enough thank you very much!!! As soon as I can find her we will log our visit to the "Belt" MR
  7. This was fun! It was like looking at those old Where's Waldo puzzles. Trying to find your MTB Geo-Coin! I don't know how particular you want to be. I have #131 (my treasured coin!) sitting here in front of me. I think you show it North of Everett? It is actually a mile or so West of Richmond Beach. But mine isn't going anywhere! It doesn't matter to me. I just was answering you request for input! Donna
  8. My two day output was all of 21 in the Bothell-Everett corridor and it didn't even include The Belt of my Last Victim. I'll save that for a special occasion, like when the doctors give me two weeks to live. Funny Blindleader! MR and I are thinking of trying The Belt for our 1200th. BUT..... I was hoping Pepper would run up this afternoon and drop off one of her new coins in the cache so we can go get it! She has done that one before and knows exactly where it is! Pepper? Peeeeppper? Are you out there girl?
  9. Ohmgoodness! I don't think I can keep up this kind of pace. It was okay for a couple weekends. MR was with me on Saturday and last weekend. So he gets credit too! BUT yes John, why don't you do a few long, long, VERY long hikes so I can go out caching and catch up to you? Sounds like a good plan to me!
  10. Oh... I am not sure if I am going to the VAN-CM for various reasons. I will be deciding in the next couple days. Donna.
  11. I was just as suprised to see your name in a couple logs too! I though we might cross paths. I actually didn't leave the house until noon. While caching the day before, I got my foot caught in this 'Y' shaped branch on the trail. Took a hard fall. Even my glasses flew off me! I couldn't stand up for a couple minutes. One of my knees really hurt. Took some Motrin and decided to go out. I did get 18 though! 1 DNF. Picked the easy ones for that day. Still a lot of .20 walking into those little parks. Donna I better start posting those!
  12. How about a Geo-Dime coin? Just think, with all money we would save we could afford to buy the gas to go out and chase those beautiful Geo-Dollar coins. Just a thought. Mr Wienerdog
  13. Dear MR Wienerdog, I know you will be reading this post. Aren't those coins so cool? MTB's new coins are neat too. My birthday is coming up.... okay it's in August, but do you suppose.... Hum, what would a Wienerdog coin look like? Love (Lot's of it) Mrs. Wienerdog
  14. Oh boy! I can't wait. I want one bad. I usually only say this on posts for very special caches. BEAUTY! BEAUTY! BEAUTY! Donna
  15. The real slick feature of the G-V is the horizontal / vetrical screen display. It is equally at home on the dash or in your hand. And, with automatic re-routing and City Select for $320, it is a good choice.
  16. To circularize the orbit the satellite maneuvering rocket is fired briefly at the high point of the orbit over a period of several passes. The added velocity “lifts” the orbital low point each time around until the low and high points are equal or circular at a height of around 11,000-12,000 miles.
  17. Oh that's too bad RWW! I was just getting to know you a bit in Spokane. I can take the T-Bug. Where do you live? We live up by Richmond Beach. Edmonds, Shoreline area. We could do a trade off in a cache. I think that Lucyandrickie are going and there is a chance that Detective Pepper is too. Donna
  18. Now that you mention it when I look at the pix NOW all I see is blood squriting from Rickies eye. BEFORE all I saw was a pair of glasses. M
  19. Thank you Travis! We followed the map, disregarded the area you suggested and found quite a few. We used the PDA (without any cache pages for the first time !) and it worked out great! Donna
  20. Ohmygoodness! Have you been caching or what! Congrats. to our friends Lucyandrickie!
  21. I, Donna Wienerdog, plan on coming. MR WD ias planning on staying home that weekend. I probably will be coming on Friday. I will be driving up there myself. BUT when it comes to the caching I might just like to hop a ride with someone do the actual caching with! BTW. Where is everyone staying? Maybe I should go look at the cache page, huh? Looking forward to caching with you!
  22. On the 60C avoiding U turns is found here... Press > Menu >Menu >Setup > Routing > Enter > Follow Road Options > Enter and deselect U-Turns. Can't comment on the compass settings...
  23. MR WD and I are trying to get out of town together for a break. We did look at the old OLY stuff and downloaded the maps but got a new file for the Oly area. I also downloaded the list that MR. G made with the names of caches. We were going to try to do some of these this weekend possibly. Weather permitting. WE would also like any input regarding suggestions or changes. Anyone? Thanks, Donna
  24. Hey... just remember that fiddling around with new "toys" and figuring out how to use them and make them work is half the fun! Your next reports should be about the E-compass and E-barometer.
