I'm sorry I can't answer that question. I haven't cached there. YOO-HOO? Anybody cache Lopez?

Thanks Mrs B.! It's not like I'm looking forward to this event or anything! BTW: You spoke of your 1000 trained bats? Hey Fledermaus... you out there? Holy cow... Mrs. B could probably use your assistance at this event!

Hummm..... gee, someone else hit 1800 last weekend.....I wonder.. Congrats Evergreenhiker! on 1800! Oh, yeah.. Team TIAG, congrats. on 1000! The last time we saw you your number was 999!

Well we don't much care if you make it an evening event or start in the afternoon. The more time we get to spend with all of you the better! I know this is early but I might as well ask these questions now so Mrs. B can possibly plan better. ? I see that Halloween is on a Sunday. Some people with kids are expresssing that the kids don't want to miss T&T'ing, which is understandable. Are you thinking maybe Saturday the 30th? ? I noticed that Sat/Sun is Daylights savings. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, just that we get an extra hour of sleep. ? I know the ferry schedule changes with the seasons. How late do they run in the fall? Is is like summer? ? Are there any parks over there that would take a motorhome that time of year? Like I said... I know this is kind of early but I just thought I'd throw out a couple questions I had going on in my mind. Costumes: I think it should be an option. I know MR and I have done simple things, like just putting on a funny hat or wig. It can get you in that Halloween spirit and is kind of fun. It doesn't have to be elaborate unless you want it to be! I would love to see Mrs. B dressed up! You too Shunra!

YES! Number 100. The bestest. Where is a A Murder of Crows? It sounds like one I did in Victoria.

That's amazing Dick! Good for you!
-
Awe! Wish I could go with you, but I can't! For some reason I thought you were younger than 40???

Congrats. W7WT on you 600th!

Are you still doing that hint giving stuff????? Me too, worse than ever!

Ahem... Boom! is still alive. I got a call from Pepper! Now can you just see this girl doing this? As they were loading the cannons on the truck, she approached the new owner. told him about Geocaching and the cache hidden in his cannon. Apparently he was very interested and said he didn't mind having a cache there at all! Pepper got the contact info and is going to give it to me when she gets back from vacation. I do know where the Old Country Store is. I used to get gas there when I lived in Redmond. I just happened to notice it was closed up the other day. It is on the side road that runs next to KFC. So.. Boom! may be back in business soon!

My preference too! Talking about spooky, kfam: before I deciphered your avatar, it looked like a closeup of a mouth full of sharp teeth. "The place to be" struck me as very funny. But Shunra.... it is teeth! Honey Puppy is just trying to show that she is not going to take Chloe's sassy mouth again if she runs into her at next event!

OH NO! How sad. I LOVED that spot. I remember being there by myself on a sunny summer afternoon. There was not a soul around. After finding the cache I sat near the grange hall for a lunch break. It was one of those caches of EraSeek's that can bring your imagination to life. I remember thinking about all of the things that had probably gone on in that hall with the locals. Meetings, dances....etc.

Oh my! Well... I think you know what our answer is! How could we miss it?

Hey Pepper! I had just stepped outside to change the sprinkler when I came back in the house to hear the end of your message on the answering maching. Tried to get to th phone but it was too late. I appreciate you trying to grab the cache before they loaded the cannon on the truck! It sure is nice having a group of cachers concerned and watching out for each other. Cool. Thank-you!
-
Thank you so much Marcus for alerting us that the cannons are moving! Much appreciated! I will archive that right away. Hmmm.... I wonder if they know there is a cache inside! Maybe we will see where they move them and I will unarchive it! I will find even a better hidding spot and you can all go look for it again!

How did you come across the information for the distance finder? What a fascinating cereal offering! Now that I know where it came from it brings to mind the cereal offerings to … buy a square inch of Alaska for a dollar… that were going on at about that same time. They had pretty deluxe cereal prizes back then. Mr wienerdog

Hey… Nice going Lucyandrickie on 1700! I am looking at the change from my pockets and what do I find? A waypoint from a fortune cookie! Maybe that’s the 1 in 1701

After reading and being entertained by posts from Totem Lake for so long we finally got to meet him while waiting for ClayJar today. Not only that but we got to meet *Snickers* the bear! I think if Chloe the wienerdog stood up on her tip toes she might be able to see what is on the other side of Snickers! Hope it isn’t two years before we meet again.

We had a great time here North of Seattle, welcoming ClayJar today! What a treat to be part of this event. Do your best to get out and meet this pleasant fellow when he comes your way

Gosh! I think I might try something like that Linda. I had a T-Bug named Go-Huskies. He was a bendable dressed in the gold and purple of our UW huskies that MR WD loves to follow. Well, who of all people picked him up first? UW-Dawg! So he got his picture taken next to his helmet and stuff. Really cool. Well, he made his way north and got stuck in a cache in North Pole, Alaska. Some guy took him out in June of 2003. I have written him numerous times... no response. Do you think I should post something for that region and see if anyone knows the guy?

For those of you who missed him... here he is after is signing Pepper's Geocaching Banner, attached to the back of our Geo-Mobile.

What a nice little gathering we had to greet and meet Clay Jar. Such a pleasant fellow he is! We got the grand tour of the traveling cache. He has a neat system that has set up in the vehicle. We were all so rushed to meet him that none of us thought about fixing and bringing him a lunch! He gladly accepted a bag of unopened dried pinapple snacks I had in the car. This was a once in a lifetime caching experience! Thanks ClayJar. We'll be watching you!

Our post on the cache page for the romp! The Port Townsend Romp. The ratings were difficulty 2 ½, terrain 2 but there is a category missing… fun! That rating is 5+ stars all the way! It started when Shunra handed Rose a gift wrapped box containing the first waypoint. Veeery methodically and veeery slowly Rose opened the package as we all watched like a group of White House press reporters waiting for the big scoop! We got our scoop and what a blast it was! It sent us on an Alice in Wonderland Geo tour of Port Townsend! As we followed the BBs ‘white rabbit’ we encountered all kinds of whimsical and highly entertaining waypoints! We have never found waypoints in Fortune Cookies and we have never had ‘Officer Friendly’ cheerfully show us the way to the prize! Waypoints written on a bunch of festive balloons… nope. Waypoints printed on the Tee shirt of a young boy playing in the sand on the beach… never! Waypoints boldly draped across the Nymph in the water fountain in the middle of town… well maybe, this is Port Townsend after all! In the end it was a 5 star+ kick in the pants. The bumblingbs & family along with Shunra raised the fun bar to a new level with the Port Townsend Romp! Hmmm…curiouser and curiouser… Many thanks from the wienerdogs
