What’s A Combination Multi And Puzzle Cache?

So if the first stage has real coordinates but every other step requires solving a puzzle it's a multi? -
If a cache has multiple steps to the final/real cache but each step requires solving a puzzle to reach the next, is it a multi or a puzzle?
