I have a Blackberry curve 8330 and it give different co-ords also. I think it might depend on how the GPS is set up or somthing idk. My gps on my phone isn't good at all. It only takes me road wize even wen I put in there tht I want walking directions. It sux. So wen I go out I wing it after I get to the road part where it stops. I don't have the money for a new gps unit or a better phone with one . So I only have 6 caches tht I have foiund . I wish I can do more. Bummer. I'm sorry and I hope tht you figure out what's wrong.

sence the owner has passed away atleast the original owner and the one who adopted it now isnt takin care of it ,u should talk to the head person and see if you can adopt it. its been going for a long time and it would suk if it were archived. you sound passionate about it and from that i think you would take care of it. i wish you the best of luck and hope that you get it.where is it located anyway.im in michigan.

'my' location comes out right but when i put the co-ords in even if i put it for directions for walking it still puts me on the road. so i kinda gotta wing it for the most part. any suggestions? i try to use google maps and it does the same thing. i dont know what to do . i dont have the money to buy a GPS. is anyone willing to donate a GPS unit that they are not using or that they just want to get rid of. we enjoy geocaching very much. we just started as you can tell casue while i am writing this we only have 6 that we have found. we would love to do more but its hard unless there by the road. i dont know what to do. please help

You start a "you know you are addicted when" thread. ya i think its interesting to know what people are thinking about when there not physically geocaching but somehow there minds still are. its funny to hear the responses. Do you spend a lot of time on facebook or do you twitter much? i have twitter and facebook. i dont go on facebook much unless i get an email saying i have a message or somthing from there. i have been going more onto twitter. On twitter i am n1ntndo and in facebook i have 2 accounts. just out of curousity why were you asking. do you have either of them Hmm, no. I am not one of those who enjoy the constant bombardment of peoples every thought sent to me electronically. I'd rather talk on the phone than text and I prefer the call to be short and to the point. Leaves more to talk about when my friends and I get together over a beer or three. I only asked because of your comment. i understand what ur saying and i am somwhat the same way. im not really much into twitter or facebook and myspace like i used to be but i do enjoy texting. idk why but its cool.

iw asnt out geocaching but i live in a small town named Durand,MI . the other day at the only grocery store (Riverside Market) in the parking lot there was a green Geo Traker. it had a decal or sticker on it that said geocaching. i know there not from here... there from Florida. i just thought i would let all you know because i thought it was aweome to see that. i havent met or seen any other geocahers before and its just cool to see one. i dont know who it belonged to but it would be nice to find out. so to everyone, what have you seen that when you werent geocahing it had to do with it.

my husband and i do that all the time and its so funny. when i read your reply it made me laugh out loud for real. my 3year old loked at me and she said"mommy what so funny", as she is laughing too. i love kids. its great hearing that were not the only ones to do that.

i just have a weird question. when i try to manual put coords in to my gps on my blackberry curve 8330 and i can put the degrees sign, so i have to copy and paste which doesnt always work. how do you do the sign for the degrees. please help me. thank you

i think im addicted....lol i know i havent been doing it for long but ive read a lot about this and all these forums. so i always have things running through my head. everywhere i look i see either places where caches can go or i figure out ways in my head that can make things into geocahes.. like tree trunks become caches or knots in trees or even a kids play yard out on someones lawn. anything. in my head its always going on. i think that means im addicted. its funny and cool and all different things. im not gonna stop geocaching and i wish i was ready to start my own but i know now that i am not ready. i guess seeing these things everywhere means not only am i addicted but that i probably could make some great caches. is there a way to just make caches and sell them or do i have to actully put them out. let me know what expiences you have been through that you finally or thought u have been addicted.

Yes, it's OK. I did it just the other day although I didn't ask. I knew they were looking for the cache and so I stopped and gave them a nudge. ty now i feel a lil bit better thank you so much

i was just wondering if it is actully ok to go up to somone and ask if they are fellow geocachers. theres been many times that it looked like the people wwas doing the smae as me. is it ok to ask

i tink that the only way a smilie should be done is if you find it. that is the only way it should be done. thts what i do. i think its cheating if you do it with out finding it. youre cheating yourself if you put a found it smilie with out actully finding it. i love geocaching and my familly just started and we cant do much but we have a lot of fun.

im new to this site also and i think there was a part on here for like a store or sothing like that. also you might wat to check ebay or craiglist. they have so much there.

well hee it goes. my husband and i are just getting started in the geocahing experiene and mg we are having a blast . we only have 5 now and we are starting with small ones in our are and working outward but we need to start somewhere. by the way we live in Durand MI. we dont know anyone in our are that we can talk to about this but i look online and get a lot of information. like whae caches look likeand you dont really relize all the creativity that goes into these things untill you see them. i do have a few questions like... i took a pic of the spot where the cache is and my husband took a pic of me putting it back. is it ok to put those kind of pics in here as long as it isnt said exacly where its at? beforewe were into geocaching and we drove around these places and by these places and also hung out at some of the places ,you dont relise that there are these little notes or trinkets and things like that somtimes so very close to you and you dont even know it. no my husband and i see things and we say to each other" maybe thats a geocache or if it isnt.. that would be a great spot." ithink thats starting an addiction...lol its fun for the family and it s awesome to see the things and places you go. please let me know if you have any suggestions for me being a newbe or you might be able to answer my question. this one that we took a pic of is so far our favorite and we wold like to show it but i would like to know if it was ok to do so . thank you and you can email me if you like and i will return a message back . thank you and i hope to hear from somone soon thank you. reneenadrihites@yahoo.com .... thats my email[/b]
