  1. I don't however my wife likes to trade. Assuming she can find something worth trading. She likes the hunt more though. Especially when she can find it before me.
  2. And for the OP. I respectfully disagree with you and believe that you need to sign the log or it isn't a find.
  3. ALR's? American Law Reports? Australian Law Reports? Automated Lip Readers? Associated Lighting Representatives? American Legion Riders? (With no offence intended or implied to anyone...) Sorry - have to expand that one for me please Additional Logging Requirement - something above and beyond "find the cache and sign the logbook" Thanks I was wondering also. And I also ignore caches with ALRs.
  4. I don't know about refusing...however I will take a pass on any cache that I just feel comfortable doing, whether it is in the wrong part of town, or too close to the edge of a cliff. It doesn't bother me at all to walk on by a cache. I'm not that obsessive. I am becoming more selective with my hunts though. Unless I'm with a group I'll pass on most micros and urban caches.
  5. I feel your pain. I was quite disappointed when I realized this was a UK thread. I was set to sign up for the next camp out. The last 3 camp outs I've attended have not been nearly as entertaining. BTW - who gets to determine what "family-friendly" is? Is is the lowest common denominator prude?
  6. Ditto that. edit to add - that I checked my calendar and the 16th of Feb. is a Friday so I'm assuming you mean Sunday the 18th.
  7. This should be fun. Not that the last 2 weren't fun. Anyone think they can beat the Monty Python and the Holy Grail theme for last year's kids activities? I think the bar was set pretty high. I don't think I can stand the anticipation.
  8. I'm in. If possible I think it would be great if those that want to could camp somewhere nearby so they could make a weekend of it. Just something to keep in mind.
  9. I work at a college does that count.
  10. According to this site it is the 2nd of June. This is the first I've heard of it, however it does sound interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.
  11. My apologies!!I knew, though, as I wrote that definition, that it would not suffice. That's why I wrote all those "..."'s. I figured it might be a start, even if a weak one. How do other organizations that offer "family subscriptions" define family? Dive clubs I've belonged to defined families as living under the same roof, however we were flexible enough to allow circumstances like Leps and took those on a case-by-case basis. Personally I like the Junior member idea. My wife caches with me frequently and doesn't need, nor wants, to deal with PQs, however I'd pay the extra just to make logging MOC easier. My daughter rarely caches with us, however I'd also pay for a Junior membership for her again for the same reason. I don't know if the most important part of the Premium membership has been addressed yet...Do they get to log into the Off-Topic area?
  12. Exactly. Anything that fits that pattern will get called in. That's why real bombs can look like anything. That's the very reason that none of my bombs are in pipes. Exactly. That is why I pack mine in footballs.

I can't believe I missed this. And I had been checking the forums too. {sigh} Oh well maybe next time. Not to mention I had to deal with no power issues again, then no cable (for internet access). I did get to watch parts of the seahacks and cowgirls game.
  14. There is one in Lake Chelan that I will get some day.
  15. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that...
  16. There is one just off Steven's Pass in WA however I don't think you could get to it during the ski season since you'd probably be in the middle of a large group of skiers.
  17. However in my humble opinion it is easier to just post a new topic to ask a question then to try figure out the search criteria for forum software. Of course I'm one of those that gets real tired of those that feel the need to always jump down someone throat by posting that it is an old topic. And when they do I don't want to spend the time wading through pages and pages of posts so I rarely will post a new topic. For me it is easier to post a question in off-topic where someone will cheerfully answer my question without making me feel like I'm wasting band width.
  18. Depends on where they catch me at...and if there is a good place to bury the bodies.
  19. well with only 51 caches you could create a new profile and relog everything, however you've already nixed that idea and i'd have to agree that that seems pretty tiresome to me and what is wrong with everything lowercase you could make that your signature thing.
  20. I don't know this for a fact but I'm guessing bad knees and snowshoes don't mix.
  21. Personally I try to shun lawyers whenever possible. And as for as the OP question - No I wouldn't pay for this. Just out of curiosity...would you make those in Louisiana set up their own fund cuz don't they do things differently in that state?
  22. I still think my idea of an off-set cache with a bison tube in a Sabot-type shotgun slug would work.
  23. Now I like that. Have the mutt carry its own treats and water and if it is large enough maybe even an extra bottle or 2 of water for their human partner.
