  1. 1642 really? ok the next time someone tells we southerners to get over the US one I'm citing this
  2. When was there a Civil War in England? I went to public school which I realize means something different across the pond. when I say I went to public school it means that I was educated entirely by the state of North Carolina.
  3. what about sharks? sharks FEED at night
  4. the middle of a ninja training camp or a shark tank or here: http://www.alligatoradventure.com/
  5. What would be the advantage to a night only cache? just curious I live in a city. Not that I'm afeared of the dark but there are ZOMBIES out at night ZOMBIES
  6. Ironic that they're being jerks because they felt like someone else was a jerk. maybe the CO needs to look in the mirror to see who the problem is
  7. While I would not drop the f bomb on a log it really wouldn't bother me to see that someone else had. Seeing that someone else had felt the need to cross it out later would only amuse me.
  8. There is a petroglyph in Valley of Fire State Park just outside of Vegas that someone named Ike felt the need to deface. I would very much like to provide Ike with a bit of old school Texas justice for his efforts.
  9. I skimmed a few of these posts just to see what the drama was about. Is it wrong that it made me laugh that the "moderator" wanted to talk to the person causing issues to see if she could get him to stop. Sure yea and hey while we're at it just tell the big kids on the bus that you don't like it when they beat you up and take your lunch money.
  10. Riduculous and childish behavior is not helping any of us out. I expcet people to behave with the proper respect and needlessly trampling flowers is inexcusable. They're making us all look bad. Permission to place a cache is not permission to destroy everything around it.
  11. I post a DNF if I gave it a good effort and flat out did not find it. If I just happen to be near where a cache is and its hot out so I just glance around then not so much.
  12. I found mine before it even listed, that is how AWESOME I am. I missed out though. I'm pretty sure there was an unregistered travel dragon in there as a FTF prize and I should have taken it.
  13. I write long rambling logs becuase its more entertaining for me and that's really what this is about isn't it. My only concern lately is that I posted a couple of pictures that included the cache. I don't want to give too much away but I let it go because there were already a lot of other pictures of that same cache out there.
  14. I can so see that happening. Later this will be funny.
  15. Oh WOW thanks for posting this. I skimmed it and suddenly recognized the names of the people who logged it. I zoomed up and it's 6 miles from my house - SWEET I am so on it. (shoves silly work stuff back into in the in box)
  16. Just be sure you don't travel with your pills in a bag. You'll be on the NEWS for getting detained by the TSA. IT'S FISH OIL JUST FISH OIL OK I HAVE BAD KNEES
  17. That is very cool and your daughter is adorable. I don't know if I would have found that one. Sadly my dog can sometimes sniff out things I miss. I think it has to do with the number of people who handle something. He's quite useful.
  18. There is a guy here in town who I swear lurks around new caches waiting to spring upon the FTF hounds to amuse himself.
  19. drat knowschat stole my juice FINE I can't believe someone would have a cache that required moving a headstone - tasteless and tacky at best.
  20. I never take anything but sig items. I leave a sig item and a few random things for the kiddies. Some time ago I was helping out with my MIL's math fair and bought a bunch of multi sided dice (think D&D dice) off of ebay for some probability experiments. I still have them and I've been tossing those in. I figure they'll survive getting wet and are small and kind of funky. except the clear purple 10 sided one - I kept that
  21. Sadly I work with bigger nerds than I am and they think I'm cool for doing this. I've taken one along on a trip but I think most of my coworkers are afraid of that big yellow thing in the sky.
  22. So the law only applies to cemetaries owned by states? I can't think of anyone other than a state that would fall within this law. Very strange really, wonder what was going on that someone felt the need to pass this. I'm pretty sure that caching in state owned cemetaries is the worst thing going on in Tennessee and all law enforcement attention should be diverted from whatever they're doing now to end this vile practice.
  23. I'm not really a FTF nut but one day when I was on the train I cheched my email and happened to notice that a new cache had listed a couple of blocks from work. I'm not sure why I had my GPSr with me, but it was in my bag. Around lunchtime I got a coworker to go with me to see if we could find it. The coordinates were way off. I think there was some bounce from the big shinny buildings but we had the listing printed out and were looking at it trying to figure out where it was and a guy walked right up between us and said "so I think these coordinates are hosed". It was just so out of the blue but looking back on it, it was pretty obvious what we were doing standing there in the middle of the sidewalk GPSr in hand looking at a print-out. So we met a fellow geocacher. I saw a log later where he did that to someone else so I think he just enjoys hanging out by new caches and busting people.
  24. I used it once but didn't have sense enough to put in any filters. I spent some quality time looking for a cache that turned out to be an earthcache.
  25. This sounds creepy and possessive. Maybe they're jealous that you have lost weight and are eating better. Friends can lift you up but if you're not careful who you hang out with they can also tear you down.
