  1. Go online to the cache page you found. In the upper right hand corner click on "log your visit." At that page click on "select one" where you will click on "found it." There you will be able to add some comments and it will show up as your first find.
  2. I had to google it: http://www.olive-drab.com/od_rations_p38.php Looking back at that picture, that edge looks pretty sharp. Maybe not a good idea after all.
  3. It wouldn't be right, if that is what you are asking.
  4. I agree with Ed and El Diablo. You guys are worrying way too much about other people. Maybe ya'll need to step away from the computer and go caching.
  5. I'm having the same problems. I can't even view my old ones so I am guessing someone is doing some sort of maintenance. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
  6. Vern, You should have received an email with a number and an explanation of what to do with it.
  7. Me too, and the easiest explanation on how to use them I found in this article. http://65.34.18.106/content.php?article.15
  8. I'll second the Garmin Quest. Small enough to slip in your pocket, great for caching and audio turn by turn directions in your car.
  9. I would say "very" accurate. Much more so than your car, motorcycle or scooter.
  10. I'm with Tsmola. Besides, we have gps's so we don't need no stinkin maps.
  11. The ram mount is great. All you have to do is take the gps out of the cradle. The only time I take the arm off the u bolt is when I move it to my other motorcycle or scooter and I have other u bolts attached to them. Easy system! Cindy
  12. If you will check his profile page, you will see that he hasn't cached since he found your cache. Be patient, sometimes life happens.
  13. I didn't see a mission card attached to the bug. Did you attach one before you sent it out? Being a motorcyclist myself, I don't always chose to take the most direct route, taking the long way can be much more fun.
  14. You can leave bugs in any cache, other than micros. They don't have to be TB hotels.
  15. "Snoogans' TB longevity strategy #5. If you must email a TB holder to do anything other than thank them, DO NOT give an order, or be even the slightest bit negative. Sugar coat every word. Do not transfer your standards and expectations to another person. Unless you are related, you do not really KNOW their situation" That quote comes from here: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=64691 Be patient, no one caches alike and since they haven't been caching since they found the bug, they haven't had a chance to move it along.
  16. I just put our name on the map and would be happy to volunteer our services.
  17. It falls into the 3rd definition of the word sport.
  18. Jamie, We actually started geocaching to find new roads. Bubb had said we had ridden every road in the SE, he was wrong.
  19. You mean you can geocache without a motorcycle? Here is a write up about the first cache we ever found. I had to find a place to park my bike to ride on the back of his for this one. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread....650#post1281650
  20. I finally decided on the Garmin Quest for my bike. I like the audio so that I can hear turn by turn directions in my car or on my bike through my Autocom system. I'm not sure I will use that feature on my bike, but I the small size of the quest so that I can easily slip it into my pocket. It is also waterproof.
