I found this program which might save you reinventing the wheel. It has a win32 executable and by the look of it you could script it from the command line.

In my book anything within 100 miles is fair game. Though I have gone further as part of a caching holiday.

I don't know of any welcome to London signs but I could pop out in my lunchbreak and do a picture of towerbridge or another london landmark if you like.

Looks like Oxfords First Cache has been almost abandoned. The Owner appears to be from the US so I don't think they will be able to replace it soon. Just kinda wonderin what the consensus is with it:
1. Should we try and repair it?
2. Archive it?
3. Replace with a virtual?

Depends on what you want really. I'll leave it to the Vista owners to extol its virtues but it is fairly all singing - all dancing.
I recon you can't go wrong with the Yellow etrex to start - at least then if you want to upgrade & pay more money you will know what features you want in a new GPS.

Looks like you did the right thing with this challenge Dan - Just got my "repaired" Etrex summit back from Garmin (took 4 working days to repair).
The Bad News: I lost all my Waypoints
The Good News: Because they sent me a brand new one in the box & everything

Right - finally finished the new version with all the caches I could work out how close they were to the station. You can find it at the link below

Two requests really:
1. I'd like the "print friendly" version of the page to strip off everything except the stuff in the white box - would save a lot of paper.
2. A resolution to the Palmable Geocaching Issue
In the meantime keep up the good work.

Can't really see any point in the camo. Having recently gone from a Summit to a basic etrex I would say the extra for the summit is worth it for the mag compass as it makes finding a lot easier (it maintains the pointer even when you arn't walking).

Just to let you all know that I have just released a new version of the spreadsheet which allows Conversion from DD MM SS, DD MM.MMM, DD.DDDD, UTM,UK National Grid
to DD MM SS, DD MM.MMM, DD.DDDD, UTM, UK National Grid.
The new version allows conversion of multiple waypoints and exports those points directly into EasyGPS
