  1. Couldn't find geocache Omaha on Facebook .
  2. Cool! We could make the one in Ashland. Is there a meeting there 7/2?
  3. We are a small band of cachers in the Omaha,NE area. We've talked about trying to join/organize a group and plan some meet up for breakfast/lunch. Anyone know of a group that meets on weekends in Omaha? Anyone interested in a meet up close to Omaha?
  4. Among uses I can think of : finding caches with iron / steel parts in non-ferrous environments (like a bush, in bark), or to test to see if a surface is magnetic (for those zntargvp hints). Also useful for retrieval sometimes.
  5. We actually have a backpack just for geocaching which holds the following... Notebook, cell car charger, extra cell battery, tweezers, matches, garden gloves, flashlight, extra pens, water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen, dry socks (this came in handy just recently), bandaids, hand sanitizer,swag,multi-tool. I also pack change of clothes(keep in car)in case weather changes on us. My partner carries a gripper tool and a long stick to bushwack. Both our hats have lights. HA! It sounds like a lot but we have used just about everything at least once. I just saw a post about the mirror, yesterday and will be adding that too
  6. Probably first and most annoying on my list would be CO that miss list Terrain. We cache with various groups of people. Someone that is disabled, someone with small children, teens, someone with asthma...I bites my tail when we are looking for something listed as a 1.5 Terrain only to realize it should have been a 2.0 or a 2.5. Also, CO's that don't keep up on there hides. I understand that life happens but when there are numerous posts saying something is missing, wet, DNF's...As a CO myself, you go check that stuff out. Just my two cents.
