  1. You definitely have a screw loose. If I was 10 years younger and lived a little closer I would have to give some of your psycho caches a shot. No longer have the body to climb the wall nor the wallet to rent a helicopter.
  2. I've tried it a couple times but it ticks my wife off so I had to quit. I knew I should have never bought her that cast iron stuff for Christmas.
  3. Uhmm, with a name like Sept1c Tank I think pretty much everyone will have to talk down to you. Ain't never seen one suspended in the air!
  4. I can understand most causes, buisnesses etc not being allowed. I don't understand why placing a cache in honor of 9/11 is considered an inappropriate agenda. There is no way you can compare a love for one's country in which the cache is placed with the terrorists that changed all of our lives on 9/11. Would a cache at the Eiffel Tower be stopped, or near Buckingham Palace or Red Square? If that is the case then they need to pull all the virtuals at memorials too. Heck, just placing a cache and listing it here is moving an agenda...that of Groundspeak's. Is that wrong? No, I don't think so. They allow Jeeps. Why, because they pay Groundspeak big bucks to do it. But it violates their policy. If this is going to become a habit with them, I'll pull my membership. I love geocaching but I love my country more!!!!!!! I am sick and tired of PC getting into everything.
  5. the calendar says 46, my mind says 26, my body says 66, take your pick. The good news is my younger brother is always getting senior citizen discounts without asking. I have never even been offered one! Although the discount would be nice.
  6. Nothing wrong with giving advice. My experience though is if they didn't ask for it, or already have a lot of respect for you and your opinion, they are either going to tell you to take a hike or politely acknowledge it and then do what they wanted any way. I have not hidden a cache yet because I wanted to learn more and see if I was going to continue to have an interest in caching first. Biggest problem I have seen with newbies is they grow bored with the sport and then the cache becomes trashed out unless someone else unofficially adopts it. I have recently adopted a pretty nice cache (officially after the owner moved out of state) and am working on my first real hide now that I think I will stay with the sport for a while. Make it a rule? We have enough rules in the world now. The nice thing about caching is it is so veried that anyone can do it the way they want. Like hiking in the mountains? We got one for you. Like to brag about numbers? Go for it. Don't much care for hunting one of these things but really enjoy confusing and confounding people with your puzzles? Have fun!
  7. 10. Caching is a great hobby 9. Caching is extemely frustating 8. People like top 10 lists 7. Caching is going to get me fired if I don't quit hanging out in here at work. 6. Cachers are great people 5. Bushwhacking in always leads to an easy path out 4. Muggles always sit on top of caches 3. 1/1 can be extremely irritating 2. Caches will be temporarily disabled after you have printed the cache page 1. Never discuss Politics, Religion or parking lot Micros.
  8. The rules say don't do it so I won't, however, it is just a stinking tree! I've seen them wrapped in barbed wire and they just grow around it with no harm to the tree. Heck, tree huggers are always driving spikes into them so can't be too bad.
  9. When you spend your lunch break thinking of answers to "you know you're addicted...".
  10. My best one to date 'TNLN SL'. I get the giggles every time I think of that! I get this mental picture of the cache owner sitting there in their underwear in front of the computer monitor scratching their head trying to decipher this strange word. Ha, little do they know that it is a top secret code that I have worked up to mean 'Took Nothing Left Nothing Signed Log'. I mean I have literally spent years working on this top secret code. The original intent of this code was for use by the military in association with all of their stealth equipment as a way to transmit long messages in a very short period of time thus reducing its radio signal signature to that of a gnat. After all what good is a stealth aircraft if all the enemy has to do is track your radio signal? By utilizing my new code nobody will be able to track these vehicles. Heck, our own military won't even be able to track their vehicles. Just think they could reduce 'Command I am on my final approach on the target and am engaging weapons.' to 'CIAOMFAOTTAAEW'. That is an 80% reduction in size. The high brass at the Pentagon has been reluctant to embrace this new code, but it is only a matter of time. I had the same problem with the screen doors I invented for submarines and the wooden tanks.
  11. I have owned 3, an 85 CJ7 that I bought new and drove for 10 years, a 91 Cherokee, and a 94 Grand Cherokee Limited. All were 4x4 and all spent time off road. I would have one now except my funds won't support it and I have to have a 3/4 ton diesel pickup to pull trailers with. Well, doesn't have to be a diesel but it sure does pull nice. And by the way, it is 4x4 and has seen limited offroad use, which I hope to improve upon in the near future. Also, if you look at my Avitar you will see my 6x6 Recreative Max IV...it floats so don't need no snorkel.
  12. That is impressive! You have put a lot of work into that one.
  13. I think everybody with more finds than me should have to drop their counts and start over so I always look good. Also, in the forums we shouldn't have number of posts listed so I won't look like a newbie, and we shouldn't keep score in sports because I was never very good at it, and we should all ride around on black, single speed bicycles with big balloon tires, and there should be world peace, and we should all pass flowers around and I should be elected supreme ruler of the universe to inact all these measures. The reality is humans are competitive. Go to a kids ballgame where they don't keep score and I guarantee just about every parent in the stands is keeping a mental score. Besides I am much more likely to to take advice from someone like Briansnat with several hundred finds, about 50 quintrillion posts and a decent helping of common sense (at least until he disagrees with me, LOL) than I am from Klem Kadidlesnipper who has 2 finds and 1 post. Is Briansnat more knowledgeable, can't say with 100% certainty but from his numbers I would definitely take his advice first. I kind of like the ring to that, Klem Kadidlesnipper. Wish we could still change user names but that is a whole other thread.
  14. We have driven through Cisco going to Dallas many times and never knew this was there. Going to have to schedule time to stop and do this one next time.
  15. Why not make your own log books by stapling several sheets together. Then when they are full you can pull the staples out and scan them in.
  16. Visit the forums, here and elsewhere. Ride motorcycles, camp, hunt, other outdoor stuff. And for the next 9 months I'll be spending a lot of time helping my kids with their homework, especially the oldest, she starts Chemistry, Physics and Algebra in High School. Yes, I like Physics and math.
  17. That's a little drastic to get a smiley! I thought we were supposed to be discrete?
  18. 2004, K2500HD Crewcab pickup, 310 HP, 590 ft-lbs of torque, 6.69 mp$. Not bad considering the vehicle. Wifes SUV gets 9.70 mp$, and my primary ride, 16.96 mp$!!
  19. And I thought we had a lot. My 200th is 41.3 miles away.
  20. I await with keen interest the USA sending the Statue of Liberty back to the French then! Nah, they should just turn her around, so her back is to the world.
  21. I usually carry a clipboard and try to look like a bored government worker. Isn't too hard since I get to practice it every day at my real job.
  22. It is an add-on. I love the outdoors, mainly hunting, off-roading and camping, and I also am a tech junkie. Got interested in a GPS for these things. Ran across geocaching while researching GPSr units. Have really enjoyed it, although I don't get to do a lot of it right now.
