  1. We were looking for a cache once. And there was a box like that up against the wall. And I was just about to give up, and I noticed it. As I was reaching down it started sparking. Im so glad I didnt go for it. I went inside the building and informed somebody of the situation and decided to stop searching for the cache. I wont reach near those boxes since that day.
  2. I think my favorite part about this is the first picture in the gallery, showing a little kid putting the cache back.
  3. I should have checked my emails before I posted before. My cache was found by 2 people this weekend. So all is well!
  4. I will. Due to the rain we were not able to make it out there this weekend. And I cant get t here until after dark during the week. But next weekend its a sure thing.
  5. WOW! Now that is extreme, and i am really amazed that a GC.com employee or Lackey would even say these words to the geocaching community. I'm sorry i even clicked on the link and peaked at this topic! I agree though, just like Admins reviewing caches. Are they really going by the guidelines, or by how they interpret the guidelines! Its how it is. Which is why I rarely visit these forums. The rules are far too strict, they close threads for stupid reasons, and yes they move/delete your posts when they get wrapped in fights. But thats how it is.
  6. I was watching the news and they showed the cops on horse back, riding right by the rock I hid my cache under!!! I just hope if they found it, they left it. It has a print out of what it is.
  7. Perhaps people are appreciative of Groundspeak's efforts to promote geocaching and wish to assist them in those endeavors. Groundspeak considers armchair caching "Found It" logs to be "bogus" finds. According to MissJenn, from Groundspeak: "Stating that you must visit the location is not necessary as this is an implicit requirement..." I agree, but my point is that its none of anyone's business unless you are Groundspeak, the CO or the person doing it. ... or people who wish to assist Groundspeak's efforts in promoting geocaching. Just happens that people who police others are annoying to me. You find it annoying, yet you are in this thread policing people............
  8. In the last few days, a part of Griffith Park has been closed because a human head, hands and feet were found there. A sad story indeed. I currently have a cache that was in the search area of this scene, and Im really hoping if it was found, it was left there. Has anybody been up there since this happened? If its not raining this weekend we are going to go check it out.
  9. The problem with geocaching is that people do it. And people tend to destory and mess things up. Not all people, but there is always that one guy. We have all seen him, or his aftermath.
  10. Getting away from other people on a nice trail w/ my girlfriend.
  11. SO ANYWAYS back to the death of geocaching. Ive been caching for over a year and I havent really noticed much of a change. A few new caches here or there, and some older caches that were quite fun getting archived because CO's stop caching.
  12. He is a part of the community. The same community that can hardly agree on anything.
  13. I dont agree with this. Now a test that you have to pass before you hide your first find? Im all for that.
  14. Perhaps the sign is brand new, the result of all of the geocaching traffic? Hello. Thats the oldest brand new sign ive ever seen.
  15. Ya know whats really cool about nanos? You don't have to look for them.
  16. This is making much sense. If you post it under a new name, you are still logging your own cache. How about you just not care what other people think and log it.
  17. - Sock puppets who like to insult large groups of geocachers.
  18. So anyways..............geocachers attitudes. So far the only ones I dont like ive meet online. Ive been to two events and besides most people not willing to talk to the new people, the ones I did speak to were nice.
  19. Im no fan of Harry Potter. But I really dont understand why people hate that its connected to it. Its not like its Twilight.
  20. If it matters I have sigs turned off and the page looks normal. Has all day long.
  21. The perfect solution would have been to keep your mouth shut, remove your caching name from your youtube account. Ignored any email from GS since they would have a hard time proving that was your page. And then move on with your life with out this useless drama.
  22. I live in LA and the urban caches get found in an hour or less around here. I did a hide at Griffith Park and it took a week for somebody to log a find. Then again you had to walk at least 2 miles to get it.
