  1. Ummm no. I like to play baseball. I don't like to play shortstop. So I don't. That doesn't mean I don't play by the rules. But that doesn't mean I have to play every position. And there's plenty of people on the field who want to play shortstop.
  2. Im feel bad for you dude. I am so paranoid about my car being broken into. I only keep things in my care that I don't care about being stolen. Last time I got my car broken into I loaded it up with bags of cans to take to the recycling center the next morning. They broke into my car just for cans. Maybe about 50 bucks worth. I couldn't believe it.
  3. Why shouldn't they judge us? You've already judged these cachers as "noobs" and "ones who don't know what they're doing." Is there any evidence that they are new to Geocaching, or do you just assume that because they don't appear to be as skilled as you? And if they are new, at least that could explain why they weren't better prepared for a cache that recommends accessing it by kayak. Do you know they didn't know what they were doing? If they were in fact drinking/drunk, then obviously their judgement, senses, and probably their motor skills were impaired. FYI: Caches can be saved to the iPhone/Geocaching app to be accessed offline, without cell signal, even in rural or remote areas. It can also be used to mark additional waypoints. My family & I just vacationed in the Smoky Mountains where we found a few caches on mountains where there was zero cell coverage. One shouldn't assume caching with a smartphone puts a cacher at an immediate disadvantage. I consider a cacher who cannot read the cache description a noob. They tried to hike to a kayak cache. At night, in a swamp full of poisonous snake, with out proper supplies and a back up GPS. If that doesn't say novice I don't know what does.
  4. How dare people enjoy caches you don't enjoy.
  5. -1 Again Chad did NOT demonize anybody, did NOT make anybody look like a fool. He simply pointed out a fact that if you truly cared about not getting your picture taken, the only way to solve that is to stay home.
  6. But you did put a cache there. But I guess a smiley is more important. Enjoy your fake find.
  7. Well it looks like he got to log the cache that he placed. Pretty lame.
  8. Who are you responding to in this 5 1/2 year old thread? Im guessing to Marko Ramius, he approves caches around my area in so-cal, which is 15 miles from Whittier.
  9. Wall of texts that do nothing but scream WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
  10. I don't find it tacky at all, and I honestly would not care.
  11. Groundspeak didn't sell your email. Guess how much spam I receive since getting alerts? Zero in two+ years.
  12. Write "Geocache" and the GC code on a living leaf still attached to the bush right next to a lamp post w/ a log tapped to it. And then claim somebody stole your cache when it falls off and flys away. This was a real cache in my area.
  13. The forum schedule was an unfunny joke that you have been shoving down our throats for over a year that is never helpful and only bumps the threads that annoy you back to the top of the thread page.
  14. This sub forum might be able to help: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showforum=18 And of course google.
  15. I have them turned off too. I find them to be very very annoying. On topic, I have 2 premium member caches and I don't care if non-premium members log them.
  16. So you would mess with another persons cache and property because you don't like where they are hiding the key? The only thing that needs to be done is maintenance by the cache owner. No need for bolt cutters, removing locks, cutting them, picking them.
  17. Then I can't really help you out. Have fun out there.
  18. Can you recommend some you have found in california? its such a big state its hard to find good ones. I have not found any there because i live in New York If you are going to the L.A. area I suggest you go to Griffith Park. Its my favorite area to cache in. California is huge. What area are you going to?
  19. Its actually 5 different "suites" with locks. One of them seems to be broken: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=a52eedc6-b697-403e-8247-777b36cf9269 It need maintenance, and a NM was posted on 03/28/2012.
  20. I'm not arguing with you. I'm pointing out your poor behavior because its annoying. And I came to these threads for caches to look for because I live in California, and I'm visiting Nevada soon.
