  1. Yeah, vowels just waste batteries anyway
  2. FINALLY, an item for sale in Groundspeak, that I would pay overnight shipping for.
  3. Load as many as you can into your gps. It only takes a minute but you can manually edit the lat and long of the cache in your gps - for those that you couldn't load. I've got a Z22 coming this week. I don't plan on any interface to my GPS. I'll use the above method as necessary.
  4. Umm, if they 'phoned a friend', on tv, for a MILLION DOLLARS, how bad is it, to do it for a box full of dollar store trinkets? I've seen hiders tell seekers, at events, EXACTLY how to find their cache. Anything goes in this activity. A puzzle cache may be hard for one, but childs play for another. A hint is allowed on the web page, so another hint is not outside of the rules. Hell some 'hints' are THE answer.
  5. Aw man, I earned a lot of couchies in the past year. Smilies used to mean a lot to me. But after the hearing about the "from your couch" caches and the weenies who just add a few to run, 'cause hiders don't, as a rule, compare signed logs to web logs, I don't care. I'll still acknowledge numbers as _I_ pass milestones. But I know your numbers are fake - every one of you. Ok not you - but the next poster and every third after that one and occasionally the one who didn't post here... I'm planning a few week trip this winter to Nashville and Jacksonville. How will I feel about smilies after signing a thousand lame micros. Who knows?
  6. I hear you loud n clear. I agree with your position on Virtual TBs. This just another bent rule that has to stop. My previous post wasn't very clear. There are buttheads in and around our activity that get off by rocking the boat.
  7. Yeah. but in the bulk quantity of 150 bucks or something. or something??? I'm not sure what you get for the money, but I heard $1700 for 1000 coins. Trackable, unique icon, gc logo on coin??? What would one get for this price? -- on topic I try to play cleanly. I think I have three virtual bug logs. That being said: There's lots of crap going on in here. Weenies stealing tbs, coins and caches, logging virtual finds and bug (coins) from their couch. I get pissed when some muggle goes through the trouble of setting up an account and logs that he has my tb and never plays again. Prolly opens a new account for every steal. -- off topic -- I don't understand why non paying members have access to the forums and are allowed to place hides. To me these are services that you should pay for. If the servers handle all the waste in (off topic) forums and the non-member logs taking up space, then how are virtual tbs so evil? Because a coin gets twenty hits at an event? It sits at the owners desk til the next event. --back on topic I'm sorry Jeremy ('s wife) had a weenie step on a tb. I've only been here for 9 months and have had to deal with it a few times already. I agree, it's VERY frustrating!!! Move the tb to unknown - kill it off the tables and release another one. (scream Serenity Now!!!) btw, how are the servers handling all the recent log deletions? CinCT Still learning what this geochaching phenom is all about.
  8. So, I should cancel the napalm and flamethrower order????
  9. Our 'approver' frowned on the idea of having an event in lieu of logging a cache for the coin quest. I tried to set one up - but my event date was too close (the main reason it was no allowed) and that was enough reason to have the event later - after the quest winners will have found the booty. I don't mind bending the rules a bit - but if you bend it too hard, you brake something. January 21, 2006 - CraigInCT's Coffee and Caching - GCRE2K
  10. 2 San Francisco I don't buy coins too often
  11. A fellow player, known to Sinbad also, "Miles Stone" is driving to PA Saturday to get his event and complete it. I figure I spent $75+ to complete the quest. The things we do for an $11 coin.
  12. #80!!! I only had to drive 370+ miles to get an event, for #16. I had so much fun playing the game!!! Thanks!!!
  13. Ummmm Central Connecticut Cachers???
  14. I hear ya loud and clear. I would not have finished todays cave cache. I have a bad leg - no a wooden leg AAARRRRGGHHHH! (cough cough). This cache had me climbing up and over a rock ledge. But there's a $10 coin on the line. Oh yeah - not to menction my upcoming 374 mile round trip for an event to for my 16th piece. (well I hope to grab 30+ other caches over the two day trip). If I don't solve the puzzle - oh well - this has been a fun hunt. Call me Grog!
  15. Put em up on ebay. Somebody will pay more than you paid.
  16. Assuming you mean my event in Philadelphia, you'll be the 4th person attending just to be able to log an event. And at least 3 will be done logging with the event! Yes I am talking about your event - but I may save my appetite for a cheesesteak comparison at Geno's and (vs) Pat's. This will be my 16th piece and wil (hopefully) finish this fun adventure that night. So I am the 5th to say I'm attending for the coin quest and 4th to be getting his last peice of the map. I plan on hitting up a few virtuals in town and some with logs - and a bunch on my way down and back.
  17. So the booty is being claimed eh? I figure the earliest that it is all handed out is 2pm (eastern) Dec 6th. I said EARLIEST!!! There may be a few left after that. I'm driving 200 miles to get to an event to log for the last piece of the map, in Dec 1st. I hear they have cheesesteak in that port. I'll need the extra time to decode it - this pirate's not the sharpest blade on the ship.
