  1. Good Job everyone. With all the complaining, this topic is a moot point anymore. The Yerington PT, all 1200 plus personal caches non PT related were archived by Groundspeak about an hour ago. Time to move onto something else to complain about.
  2. WOW - where will this be placed? State? Amazing piece of geoart - thanks for sharing. This is in Southern California off the I40. About half way between Barstow and Needles. COOL - could this be done in conjunction with the Rte66 Power Trail? Looks to be in the same area! If you have the time, yes it can. Just remember, it's not a PT like Route 66.

  4. I thought this was a "Geo Art Caches placed in an artistic pattern" thread. And I see not so positive comments. Why do I bother? This sport is evolving. I think if the original hiders would have ever imagined LPC hides, or anything not placed in the deep woods like the first caches, the game would not be around today.
  5. THis series was archived due to a spat with the locals. There is still one cache left, I think the bottom of the heart that gives the details.
  6. There is a new 200 cache series that will be published on 6/23/2012. The artwork is in the shape of the Route 66 Highway sign. It is 2.3 miles from top to bottom and left to right. It is over 20 miles worth of hiking. You can find it at GC3KD7Q after 6/23/2012.
  7. If you are near the Temecula Valley (92590) area, come join us for our bi-monthly Meet & Greets. They are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every odd month. Check out the Groundspeak newsletters for GC numbers. Team Stevecat, Temecula Valley Geocachers
  8. The SCUBA works. At this point, until there is another attribute, it's really the only thing you can do. We voted for a PT attribute on the feedback forum so hopefully Groundspeak will consider it. It works unless you are someone looking for a SCUBA cache. I wonder where one would go scuba diving between Barstow and Needles along Route 66?
  9. The naming format of this series was suggested by the Groundspeak Reviewers. Placing the number first allows many of the GPS'r units to view them correctly and not drop the end of the test, thus making their PQ efforts useless. What would you like to see on your GPSr? Route 66 – or 001– Route 66 Route 66 – or 002– Route 66 Route 66 – or 003– Route 66
  10. The format of the cache name was suggested by the Groundspeak Reviewers. This was to allow GPSR's to not hang up on the first part of the name. Placing the cache number first makes it obvious that it is a new cache and not part of another.

  12. We added the scuba attribute at the suggestion of people in this forum to help them filter out the trail. Now that we have, people don't like that either. So what works?
  13. Sorry for not knowing about filtering out the route. We are working on adding the scuba attribute to all of our caches along the route. TSC
  14. The least they could have done was use the SCUBA attribute like they did on the ET trail, so people could filter them out if so desired. When I set up this series I really didn't think about setting attributes like "Scuba" This is a great suggestions, as I realize some people want to avoid this type of series. I will look at adding that attribute to the Route-66 800.
