  1. My Garmin e-trex yellow works great for me. It cost me about $100.00 from the GPS Store. Roger

  4. Well I am a new bee. But my etrex is working great for me. It was about $90.00. i think I will some day get one that dose maping.

  6. Well my first hide just got aproved. This is my first hide and I hope I did a good job. The hide is # GCN4DW. Roger
  7. Well I placed the Cache to close to anather cache. So I am working on moving the cache to anather location. I how to have it all done tomarow. Roger

  9. I think I would have a very hard time with puzzle Caches. I think I will hold off on this for a long time. Roger

  11. Well I played with the GPS all last night. I also read the manual all the way through. I found two Caches today. my etrex Yellow got me with in three feet of bolth caches. One Cache was just a log and one had a lot of great stuff in it. I took one key chane and put in a pen and a polished rock. This was great I am hooked. I cant wait to go out agen!!!!!! Roger

  14. I think I know how to use a compass now: 1) use gps to guide you to the general location of the cache, 2) retrieve bearing from gps, 3) set compass to bearing and follow the arrow? Quoted from "Clay" from Pontiac, MI That's it! After you've walked the aprox. distance your gpsr said, you should be in the location of the cache. If you have trouble finding it, walk a way, take another bearing, and try it again. Once you get to the spot, think,"OK, if I was going to hide something 'here', where would I put it." That's where you will usually find it. Back to the top. Well this mite be a stooped question but can you tell me how to set the Bering on the campus. I have never rely used a campus. Thanks

  17. Ok I just went and read all about travel bugs. I did not know what thay were till now. That would be fun to find one or start one. Roger
  18. Well I would like to get Top and street mapping. I order the Garmin eTrex so I could look at the maps on the computer and print them out.
  19. I would like to know if there is a mapping program that I can get for the computer. That you can put in the coordinates and it will pull that spot on the map. Or is there a web site that will have that type of mapping? I would prefer a program for the computer. Thanks Roger
