A lot of cachers place FTF certificates in their caches (Me included). and on a couple of my caches where I felt they had been harder to find I have added a small gift but as for placing anything special then it's totally up to you. Can I just wish you good luck with your first cache guys, and I hope you place many more

How did you get into Caching?
The Mighty Shark replied to Carlos & The Birdie Crew's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Put this one down as my excuse too...lol. I'm glad I did as I love caching and would gladly do it as a full time profession if someone would pay me to do it. -
Sorry folks, I know this question has been asked on here before but I never really took much notice of the thread at the time as I had not installed Internet explorer 7 back then. Now that I have installed it, I have the same problem as described in the original thread but I can't find the thread to check it out, hence the reason for posting this one. My problem is, after installing IE7 the picture previews on the cache pages do not show the full images any more so does anyone know of a quick fix to this problem that does not involve installing Firefox instead? Thanking all who reply in advance Mark

The tracking numbers are on the shark silhouette on the back of the coin. The example coin shown above is of an actual coin so the tracking number has been blanked out

My personal Geocoin is now available to purchase for anyone that is interested. It is available in a number of finishes. Although I will shortly have a number of them for sale myself they can be purchased now from www.geocoinshop.de The coin was designed with the help of my 2 young daughters. I hope you like it. The coin is trackable and comes with it’s own icon.

The Mighty Shark replied to The Mighty Shark's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Thanks Douglasf. That's the one we saw that started us off on looking for one of these coins. We did actually bid on that very one but got outbid just as the auction was ending -

I have tried asking in the official Geocoin thread but I don't seem to be having much luck so thought I would come and ask on here instead. My daughter is driving me mad to find one so is there anyone out there who can help us out please. Mark

CAUTION! DIVERSION AHEAD
The Mighty Shark replied to Globetrotter.uk's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Never had cause to abandon a cache but I once had to revisit one after walking half a mile back to the car only to realise that I had left my keys on the ground at the cache site -
Bugs/Coins - Accurate Placement
The Mighty Shark replied to JustAlan's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I have lost a few of my TB's to this kind of error and it's really annoying. Why can't people take the time to log things correctly. If I place a coin or TB into a cache I always note it together with the tracking number on a scrap of paper to make sure it's always logged correctly when I get home. -
My sister got me 2 geocoins and hid them at the bottom of her garden. She asked me last week if she could borrow my GPS but would not tell me why but now I know...She was working out the co-ords not a bad attempt either for a muggle

A merry Christmas to all, from me too. I hope Santa brings you all that new Garmin that you asked for.

A possible new cache
The Mighty Shark replied to The Mighty Shark's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
In light of the tragic events in Ipswich over the past few days. I would like to raise the same question about my new cache which is almost ready to be set free into the wild. Although it obviously has nothing to do with the murders down there, there may be a few who would think it a little insensitive to think about placing such a cache at this time. If all goes to plan I could place the cache well before Christmas but now I'm not sure if i should wait a month or two. Once again your comments would be gratefully received. -
Coin cases at Lidl
The Mighty Shark replied to Cryptik Souls Crew's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
A bargain at only £10. The only problem you have after buying it is finding the £100+ you need to fill it full of Geocoins
