I use Jentro BT-GPS-8U. Yes it requires a jailbroken iPhone. Thanks for the link. I made there a feedback now.

I have no problems with the compass in Google Maps with the BT GPS. Every program works with the BT GPS Mouse. Even the app PiGo has no problems with the compass. Only the Groundspeak Geocaching app has issues with the compass using the external BT GPS.

Hi! I use my iPhone with an external BT GPS Mouse. I use the official Geocaching app. But the problem is that the compass doesn't work with the GPS mouse. If I deactivate the GPS Mouse and switch to the internal GPS of the iPhone everything works fine. But the problem is, that then the GPS isn't exact. Sometimes the compass works with the external GPS, but when I switch to another app and I switch back to the Geocaching app, the compass doesn't work again. With iOS 3 I had no compass problems. Now I have iOS 4.2.1. It would be nice, if the Groundspeak Geocaching app developers could fix the problem with the external GPS. I know this app isn't developed for using it with an BT GPS Mouse, but it would make this app perfect.
