  2. WOW! Great idea guys and gals. I'd be happy to adopt this idea. Hell, I'll even try and place a few caches while im at it. BC Tripper
  3. ALL RIGHT! IT'S OFFICIAL! The last cache in this series was placed (for the last time) yesterday. I am awaiting approval for them. Good luck! BC Tripper
  4. Just wanted to second the thumbs up for the "Sasquatch Stomp". It's a great campsite, w/ three lakes. Oh, and yeah, the caches are GREAT too BC Tripper
  5. I'd take 5, and maybe more, but i skimmed over the thread and couldn't see a proposed price. Could someone post, or contact me via GC to let me know? BC Tripper
  6. 9 of them are done now, and im placing the last three tonight! BC Tripper P.S. Lots of my caches aren't listed under "BC Tripper" but click on my profile and you'll see a omplete listing.
  7. Signed Canada Parks petition. Thanks for the oppurtunity to voice my opinion, and help lift the ban. BC Tripper

    Skytraining

*this is a plug* Ok, now that you've all been warned. I would like to introduce my new cache series entitles "SkyTraining". It's a 13 stage multicache, each stage loggable in its own right, with a mystery cache at the end. All the caches are located within 300m of a skytrain station, are wheelchair accesible, and relatively easy to find. I'm trying to promote more "green" geocaching here in Vancouver, as it's too often that I find myself driving my SUV from cache to cache. So, hopefully more of you will hop the train for this cache, it's more ecofriendly and the cost of gas *exceeds* the cost of a SkyTrain daypass. Happy Caching! BC Tripper
  9. Shannon, you crazy Diamond, will take you to BC's third highest waterfall, it's along the 99 "Sea to Sky" Highway. Also, *plug* I have a circut cache in Vancouver called SkyTraining. It was developed for tourists and takes you to 13 caches, all within 300m of a skytrain station. It's relatively easy, and has a puzzle cache at the end. I definately second the recommendation of Norvan Falls as well. Absolutely beautiful park in North Vancouver. A must hike. BC Tripper
  10. I was placing a cache last week, and came across a dead seal on the beach. What was weird was that someone had actually abandoned their beach blanket right next to it. How they sat down with out noticing is beyond me! BC Tripper
  11. Just a note to let everyone know that VTMP No. 3, VTMP No. 79, VTMP No. 80, VTMP No. 100, and VTMP No. 130 are all up and running. 4 caches have clues in them that lead to the final cache, "Clued in Yet?". Happy caching! BC Tripper
  12. I'd love to help out with this project! Since I wasn't caching at the time VTMP was in progress it's nice to see the new locations! I live in Deep Cove, but anywhere in North Vancouver (or West) would be an ideal location for me. Are they all to be micro caches? BC Tripper
  13. Personally I've never done an Earthcache, but I am really enthusiastic about the idea. I think that not only is it a great learning experience for individuals, but also offers the option for school classes to "get out and see it live". After browsing through my BC: A Regional Analysis text from Geography last semester, I do have an idea for another one in BC, but I'll have to look up the details first. Also, I can't wait to be FTF for the Barrier and Black Tusk. Hope to hike it in a few weeks from now w/ GPS and digital Camera in hand! BC Tripper
  14. In order of preference: 1) trad 2) locationless/virtual/earthcache 3) mystery/puzzle 4) multi I don't like multis because I find that I question the answers that I come up with, and always end up retracing my steps. And because if I DNF, I don't know whether it's the coordinates or just my lack of searching skills. BC Tripper
  15. If you do the entire Sasquatch Stomp, there are several shorter hikes that add up to one hell of a long day of hiking. Great views at a couple, one on an interprative trail, and two along a trail that circles Hicks lake. Not exactly mountains, but great hikes nontheless. BC Tripper
  16. I think this is a great idea. Besides the fact that I have seen many, many, TB's that are destined for overseas, I would assume that some people are just not capable of international travel in order to move a TB. So, I've volunteered to set one up here in Vancouver, B.C., hopefully it will be up and running soon! BC Tripper
  17. Just a 'lil self promotion going on here I recently put out three new caches in Deep Cove, B.C. For those of you who are familiar with this area of B.C., I just wanted to let you know that there are now caches in a few popular parks around this area. One in particular is close to the Deep Cove Kayak centre, and is a great starting point if you are launching/renting a kayak to traverse the caches up Indian Arm. Hope you enjoy! BC Tripper

    Hello Bc!

Just a little introduction here from a fellow (newbie) geocacher. I'm from BC, and really enjoy hiking and plant collecting. Thanks in advance for anyone who responds to multitude of ?'s. Are there lots of "us" out there in the geo-community? BC Tripper
  19. I run the risk of blowing my own horn here, but I would have to say British Columbia. Especially if you are looking for an outdoor adventure vacation. We have so many activities here it's ridiculous, and there's lots of wildlife too! BC Tripper
  20. WOW. Translation has never been my thing, but this cache wasn't too bad. And yes, the cache name is AH-NA-SOZI. The cache contents are dedicated to being ah-na-sozi. All I have to do now is make my way out to find it! BC Tripper
  21. LOL. Amazing what you can find if you type seemingly indecipherable words into google eh? Thanks alot! BC Tripper
  22. Thanks alot guys! Turns out that the hint was written in Navajo and had to be deciphered. BC Tripper

    Ka Ha Teni?

Does anyone know of the concept "ka ha teni" and how it relates to cache hunting? Could someone please explain? Thanks in advance! BC Tripper
  24. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of the concept "ka-ha-teni" and how it applies to cache hunting. Could someone please explain? Thanks in advance! BC Tripper
  25. Cache is entitled "a Five Letter Word for Geocache" thanx for reopening my thread!
