  1. I want to be amazed at my ability to follow directions. Just in case this didn't happen, I will just say I need more sleep. Work on the image resizing later...night!
  2. One hundred percent agree, the only difference...I look at my dad's 74 year old face when he finds the cache...not to use a coined phrase, but it fits....priceless.
  3. I've seen a lot of caches in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas of the East River and was just curious as to how many people are active in the forums, I check back on the forums as much as I can, mainly to lurk around for information and geocoins that I like to collect, trade or grab. Met up with some nice folks in my little area of Lake Andes that enjoy doing this so I said I would post and see who else was out there. Thanks for the reply and I will leave this post running for awhile longer to see who else might respond. Happy Hunting
  4. Just signed up as amazedbwandering and pending. I like that name, also tried amazedbwanderingthefaceoftheplanet. Every 2 months for coin production...works for me. Have A Great Day, I did even though shovelling snow was included in my daily exercise program. Had to edit, my numb fingers are defrosted now.
  5. I can't stay away from this and agree. I'm new at this and want a geocoin produced to mark my first cache, trade and place some in cache finds. Basically break even at Best. I probably spent more on paper then it would have cost to make the die. In all seriousness, I'm taking my time with my design efforts to truely come up coin that is worthy of geocaching and my sometimes bizarre interests. Call me at BR549 Had to add that in
  6. I always like to ask for a certificate of authenticity on more realistic products, ie: .999 silver proof coins and the like but not necessarily devoted to Ebay purchases. The Internet Fraud Group or NFIC/IFW is always a good choice for reporting fraudulent activities, but for now I believe I will take your advice and ask a few questions. Happy hunting!
  7. Newbie Initiations to the club membership? I hope not, some of those were painful. I live close to the first benchmark recorded and planning a trip soon. Count me in on the coins and membership card blanche.
  8. I was just wondering if any SD East River cachers were visiting forums. Do we band together to be a force of one? I would entertain the thought. Thks
  9. I hope to remember that my coins I'm purchasing to put into my first hidden cache make it past the first pocket they visit. The first one is just as important as the 250th or so. Nevertheless, I hope they get as much enjoyment out of them as I do collecting them.
  10. Very Nice! Need to do my first cache (Rookie) and looking for ideas. Nice stencil job!
  11. My Garmin 60C survived a half Eskimo roll in my kayak on the Missouri river. The paddler, lets just say I was washing sand out of my ears for awhile, water to shallow for a full roll. Please don't ask how I got there in the first place. Alas, more adventures to follow!
