i was wondering if any one local to haslemere surrey or there abouts, are thinking about going to the nec show, coz i dont want to go on my own. no seriously i'll be going up on my own (not the wifes cup of tea) and i thought could share travelling costs. pete

i joined your site yesterday. the only trouble was i tried to use the same user name as this site and because i didnt check its come out as "left at the lig" but what the heck its different. tunbridge about 45 mins away so yeah that would be good. pete

i can do south surrey, west sussex, hampshire but make sure of good walking boots, i like long distance. pete

i live near chiddindfold surrey and genrally walk from my home (or there abouts) to find caches, now my wife and 2 year old are not big walkers so if there is any fellow cachers out there that wish to join up for some long geocaching walks let me know. dont have to start walks from my area will travel (that bit sounded like a dating agency) pete

i left my place yesterday on a modified round trip to the cache at hydons ball N51 08.825 W000 36.200. walked long way round to get to it and then even longer to get home again, 15.1 miles later as i crawled through my front door i thought maybe it was a little enthusiastic but great fun all the same. pete

spent most of today plotting a 12 mile walk for tomorrow just for 1 cache. took me ages to put all the map reference points into my etrex.(i'll see if my map reading is any good he says with a nervous smile) so hopefully i shouldn't have to look at the map. should i survive i'll put a post in tomorrow to let ya all know how lost i got. pete

watched country file on sunday, so when out on monday and got my first garmin etrex. the only trouble now is.........work interupts my caching time, next investment night vision goggles ....not. anyway cheers mate great fun, great hobby pete

cheers guys im addicted already, i did get a funny look by 2 women on horses when they saw me on my hands and knees rumaging in the undergrowth. going out again tomorrow 2 find some more!

went out today for the first time and found my first 3 caches, walked miles and had a great time (if not a little wet). anyway hello to everyone. pete
