welch, where is that feature. it is exactly what I want.

I just upgraded to the premium membership....yay for me! I do not have a gps that can download waypoints or a pda. I thought with the premium membership i could view a map of an area and it would show all the caches there. Is this wrong or am I not seeing it. This would make caching so much easier to plan with all the driving I do.

On my first hunt! My friend and I were at the base of a big low tree in the mid-summers day. He is explaining how it all works to me and showing me various elementary hiding techniques. All of the sudden we hear "come out with your hands up." So we came out with our hands up. The cop was a total d**k about it. Say how this area was know for homosexual activity. "One of the places," he said. We explained what we were doing. He let us go of course but told us not to be back. I mean come on. The place has a big statue and a great view of the Napa valley. Lived in the area for about 22 years, never knew of those activities (I have done the "normal" activity there, but definatley not at 4pm) It still baffles me.

yes it did that, but it won't come up on the list, or I just can't find it. line 1: NATIONAL OCEAN SERVICE BENCHMARK line 2: FOR INFO CONTACT DIRECTOR WASHINGTON DC line 3: 5316A line 4: 1996 it even has the little --+-- in the middle would it come up easier if I used a GPS?

I tried what the last post said. I couldn't figure it out. I am a little perplexed here. It actually says benchmark on it, and it is from National Ocean Service, which I have seen several listing for NOS type benchmarks. Am I still way off? this one was placed in '96. could that have anything to do with it?

So I found another benchmark the other day. It is at work on a military base. Will I be able to log it? It is a NOS benchmark.

I was wondering the etiquette on keeping geocoins. I have yet to find one, or even go out of my way to look for one, but if it comes up in the future...is it bad to keep one or two? Say I kept my first one? then traded all that I find after. I dunno, please help.

I currently have really bad poison oak, that I got during some caching adventures. Yesterday I got sent home from work. What did I do, went caching!!

so I can't log it on here?? dang! But i did get a FTF cache today so its all good!!!!

I think I found a benchmark, but there are no numbers on it. It is a disk, with 4 lines of writing. the coordinates are 38 18.145n 122 06.384w line 1 (around the top):Solano County line 2: BM line 3: Luis line 4 (around the bottom): Surveyor Is this a benchmark. I can't find it it the system, and on the cache page it says the nearest benchmark is 3.9 miles away, but this is maybe 45 feet. help

Well, this is the 5th time I have gotten poison oak this year. My friends go out caching without me, I get it. I am that allergic. Anyways, does anyone have any great cures? I am in the military, and they won't actually tell me I have poison oak. It's just a rash to them, so they give me hydrocortizone creame. it works most of the time, keeping it from spreading, but I have the bumps for weeks. Right now I have some directly above my eye, so I am leaning towards the doc, but.... In the past, when I was a civilian, I got a prrescription of prednizone. That stuff was great! I am doubting they will hook me up. I need something over the counter that works good. thanks for any help.

I recently found a members only cache, what is the procedure for logging it? I have seen in the forums somewhere that there is a loophole that allows regular users to log members only caches, I just don't know how to do it. please help.

I searched for one on several occasions, with a buddy, and couldn't find it. I logged 3 dnf's I think. I searched with my dad, and then finally found it a few weeks later. Then I went back with my buddy to help him, and couldn't find it again. We emailed the cache owner, he went out and cleaned the area so it wasn't "buried" in the grass, and we finally found it again. crazy.

I know at ice house lake, as of memorial day weekend there was snow everywhere, and that is at 5200 feet. Plus it rained today, so possibly ?dare I say, snow? tonight tomarrow?

WHAT ABOUT HOLDING A LIGHTER BEHIND THEM. THEY BACK OUT THEN....OR JUST USING A KNIFE. I KNOW BOTH THESE METHODS HURT A LITLLE, BUT I KNOW IF I GOT ALL OF IT EVERY TIME. AND I ALWAYS HAVE A LIGHTER OR KNIFE IN MY CAR.
