  1. As said the 450 will hold 5000 caches....most I've had loaded is 4500. I also put the caches in memory as I buy the Garmin City Nav on a SD card....fast, works great, and has hotels, restaurants, parks, etc. Thanks for the info I was thinking I might need an SD but looks like I won't need one just yet!
  2. Thanks for all this advice. I have been on talkytoaster and downloaded a map think I just need convertor or something to actually get in on my Oregon as it is in a file that I can't open.. Is this normal?!!
  3. Thank you SO much for all of these responses. Will check out talkytoasty and get myself a 4gb card. As you guessed I am already a little but confused about waypoints and geocaches - I'm guessing a 'waypoint' is the cache? but not sure... anyway will have a look on the wiki page and if I have any problems come back here Thanks again. Can't wait to try some overseas caches
  4. Hi, I have recently upgraded from an iPhone to a Oregon 450- the reason being I want to do some caching in Norway and when I go on holiday so thought proper GPS would a good idea so I don't have a massive bill. I have a few questions and hope you can help... 1. Can you recommend anywhere to get free maps to load on Garmin- for uk and Norway ( any information on the format i need to down load would be great. 2. With the Oregon 450 do I have to load the caches on to the device one at time or can I send like 1000 based on postcode - and if so how do I do this? I have messed around but have been unsuccessful 3. Is there any way I can look at the Oregon whilst it's charging in my computer as it stays on the charging screen? Also I don't know if it is important but i have a mac not pc?? Any tips or advice you could give me in preparation for using the new Oregon in Norway would be really helpful and appreciated. Many Thanks Natalie
