  1. I got an Elfish Surprise gift today. It came from a North Pole Elf. I have no idea where this Elf mailed the package because the Return Address was MY address too. Plus the postage cancellation was incomplete and smeared. But, it does have a US Postage Stamp. It is a really cool Christmas Stocking design on the coin.

I got one of these today too!

I'm guessing that the elf who was playing postal clerk today is going to bed covered in postmark ink. He sure was sloppy with that cancellation stamp on my envelope.

    I got one too B)

Mine is white at the top.

Mine is Green at the top. How many different colors are there

    This Comes to You

    In a Cacher's Guise

    From the North Pole

    An Elvish Surprise

And there is a signature which must be in the Elf language.

A card also came with it that has the same saying, but with some additional instructions:

A gift to keep or trade away

But no sales ever and not on ebay!

Please post your pictures and stories as well

And may you have a joyous Noel!

I haven't been to the North Pole, but I sure am glad that this Elf honored me with this gift. And, No - it's not available for a trade.

  4. PA Geocoinfest had their own coin. It's the shape of the state symbol. They are 1" non trackable.

Blue - only 35 minted (state colors)

Yellow - only 35 minted (Steeler colors)

Pink glow in the dark - only 30 minted (trade only version)

Blue and Yellow were bolth sold out at the event.

I do have a few of the pink ones left for trade.

    ...Stacy

Still any of these left over for trade?

  5. tw3nty3ight.

I'd really like to trade off these coins below, as they are sitting on my desk and would like to trade for some new trading material. I dont even have to have anything off my tradelist just looking to make some trades for anything that catches my eye!

  6. I'll be going to the Northern California event.

Also, I am looking for the following 2007 GeocoinFest Multi-Event geocoins. The coins will be made available at the Oct 6th events, but many have pre-ordered them. I will trade my Northern California location event coin or another coin (let me know what coin you would like to trade) for them.

    -British Columbia

    -Georgia

    -Hawaii

    -Idaho

    -Minnesota

    -Nova Scotia

    -Pennsylvania

    -Quebec

    -South Dakota

    -Texas

    -Washington

    -Wisconsin

I have some potential trades (after the event, if there any coins left over), but I'd like to get a commitment now so that I know I'll be able to get a coin.

  7. I still have 3doxies personal coins for trade. These were never sold. There were 250 silver minted and 50 gold LE. No additional mintings will be made in these metals. Pleae see my seeking list in my sig line. Let's make a deal!

I should have added that I'm always willing to trade for anything I don't already have (and sometimes even for ones I do) :o

  9. Since info is sometimes hard to find on many coins, we could go to the 'mint' and ask for the info that they provided for their advertising of the coin for sale. As a reward, each participating 'mint' could get a full page ad in the book.

However, for coins that were not sold, there wouldn't be much info the mint could provide without contacting the owner.

Considering that it's private information between the customer and the mint, I'd be leary about using any mint that released private sales information to a unauthorized third party. They'd likely be opening themselves up to a law suit by disclosing such information... so I don't think that route is going to work.

I wasn't suggesting to get private info (without customer concent), but mostly to get the info that they published in an attempt to sell the coin. Of course, most of that info is still on the web somewhere and it could probably be obtained with a little bit of searching, without getting the mint involved.
