  4. Hello, im new to the whole GPS thing. I mean i have had one for a few years, but its just an old Garmin Stree Pilot C320 i got from walmart. Its just a point and go cheapo but it serves me well. For the last couple of years as i got more involved, i keep hearing about this topo map stuff. Can anyone tell me what the advantage of that is to any other gps stuff? Is that for off road use? What im looking for is a gps or software that shows me offroad trails. Is there such a thing? If so, can i use my exsisting gps and download it? Long story short my wife bought a c320 before we got married so now we have 2 of them. So ive got an extra one i could use for just that. Or, i have a newish HP nx6110 laptop i won (2006) with win xp. I used it for about 6 months just to burn cds on to my mp3 player. Would that work? Well i guess it doesnt matter if it wont show me trails and stuff but just wondering if there was a program like that available. Thank you.
  5. Btw, how to i put my avatar up? Everytime i go to do it i send me to Geocaching.com where i made one there, but it wont show here. Am i doing something wrong?
  6. Well, Im born and raised here so its gotten old. The heat has taken its toll and teh lack of activities as well. The wife and i are looking to move hopefuly with in the year and we are looking to Prescott or maybe Flagstaff. Im big into camping, exploring and 4 wheeling and there are alot of beautiful trails up in those areas. We will have to see but im keeping my fingers crossed...
  7. Wow thanks BCP! Ill check that out and take a look! Its getting warm out now and we can get wicked hot in full swing so i should have a few months to plan out any local trips. Maybe ill look for some up in presscott or flagstaff. It would be prettier and coller up there too.

  9. Hi, im Daniel and live in Mohave County Arizona. Im interested in learning how to "geocahe"? Im not sure how much geocaches there around my area but ide love to find out. Im big into camping and wheeling so i figured ide try this out. Im not sure what i need though. I have an old Mag Explorist 200 and an older Garmin Street Pilot model i use in my rig for trail outings. Will that Exporist 200 work for this or will i need a different model? Well i guess ill look around the sight a bit and see what i can find out. Also, just off the top of my head, does anyone make an "offroad" gps? Like one that has the trails already loaded into it? Or is there a porgram i can just load into my existing Garmin to use off road? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you Daniel
