  1. I am attempting to get GSAK 5.1.4 Build 10 running properly on my laptop with Windows XP Home Edition. When I try to enter the coordinates for my Home location under "options" "Loc" I press OK and GSAK locks-up which then requires my ending the task via Windows task manager. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Nice pack, briansnat. I like the fact that it will hold a .30 cal ammo can. Nice camo job on the can too. I'm going to order the Approach II. I currently have a military ALICE pack without the frame. It's time for me to update.
  3. Yes.. I ordered my 60 CS from them and received it in 5 days. I know their site indicates they will e-mail an order confirmation and tracking number, but I had to call and ask for the info...twice!! Additionally, the GPS arrived FedEx without a packing slip ie: itemized receipt so I had to call them yet again to ask for an originial receipt for one of the two $50.00 rebates. I was told that It was not required by Garmin and they would honor both rebates. I mailed them off, now I wait to see if I receive both rebates. This is the very first time I have ordered anything mail-order and not received a packing slip. Since you are having the same issues, I would suggest calling them and waiting in que. Forget the e-mail route. Good Luck!!!
  4. I'm happy to hear that Amazon.Com is going to refund you $43.29. It pays to speak up. I'll bet that made your day. My 60CS was sent FedEx on March 3rd and due here on the 9th. I feel like a kid waiting for Xmas morning.
  5. That's for sure. I just found an interesting article that mentions ammo can caches in Iraq. http://www.todayscacher.com/2004/nov/inter.asp
  6. This is very interesting. Price is somewhat steep. http://gpsworldsupply.com/gps_world_supply...-00322-30-IRAQ&
  7. I was curious as to how they came up with a $100.00 rebate because their page indicates the rebate forms are on the order page. Sure enough, there are (2) .pdf forms Each for a $50.00 rebate. One form gets mailed to N.Y. - the other to AZ. The rebate form to N.Y requires the original UPC bar code from the package as well as original receipt.. The rebate form to AZ. allows for a clear photocopy of the package UPC bar code and an order confirmation e-mail as proof of purchase. I couldn't pass up this deal. Final cost is infact $335.95
  8. Tigergps shows me a price of $352.00 on the 60c It seems these vendors are all going to raise their prices due to Garmin offering a $50.00 rebate. They aren't going to allow the customer to get a deal without cashing in on the action as well. They get their 50 bucks up front and we mail in the coupon and wait for a rebate that may or may not ever show up. It's happened to me twice before.
  9. Thanks for the printing info. I was running Adobe reader v6.0 and had the same problem. After reading your post I installed v 7.0 and was able to print the Garmin rebate form. Back to the reseach for a 60CS best price.
  10. Amazon.Com immediately raised their price on the Garmin 60 CS the instant Garmin's rebate was offered.
  11. I have been using C.Crane's Quick Charger and their NiMH batteries for the past few years and have been extremely happy with these products. http://www.ccrane.com/batteries-n-chargers.aspx Their charger is by far the best I have ever owned. It automatically detects the type of battery - NiMH or NiCad's and will charge them properly.
  12. I believe the Magellan rebate offer expired on January 31st. Looks like I am too late. I'm still researching GPS features. Haven't decided on a purchase yet.
