We actually acomplished everything we aimed for. We hit every Delorme page, city and county on our route up and back. We found at least 100 caches in one day (101) Our first mega-event. And we found 11 cache types in one day (including a benchmark). What were your goals going to PA over the weekend? Did you accomplish them?

Anyone have any good ideas for chirp caches? Other than placing the chirp and having it spit out Coords to the final. Have you found a well done chirp cache? Share your ideas and finds.

I've only been to about 10-15 small events (less than 30 people) and 2 larger events (over 100 people) I think with a smaller event I like the idea of it just being really for meeting other cachers. With the large events, I enjoyed having other things for people to do. And I like the raffle idea because it is a good fundraiser for the group.

Thanks so much for this file. While I think a lot of it is common sense, a lot of it is a very good reminder and there are some great suggestions! Definitely the perfect guidelines for someone who has never attended an event.

I am hosting my first event at the end of the month and would love to use this as a place for others to get advice for running event. I have been to events before and have a good idea of what I am doing, but would love to hear what others like to have. Games? Food Suggestions for places to get donations from? Raffles? New caches? Registration? I will be hosting a CITO event at the end of the month. What does an event need to have to be considered a good event?

I wanted to start this thread for people who are trying to host a local event and trying to get donations for things like door prizes and raffles. Can anyone from experience recommend websites of people who have donated to their event, and also at the same time a list of people who are a waste of time to even ask. Also, any tips for asking for donations would be great to.

Just got back from Target and Dollar Tree....Dollar Tree had a REALLY cheap version...Target had a few options and I ended up picking up a Sterilite Ultra Seal model...hopefeully it holds up....seems pretty good...

Do they still sell lock'n' lock's anywhere? I've heard walmart...didn't find any I've also heard the dollar store... Where do you buy yours?

I'll take those droppings and use them to clone the mouse which they came from which will lead to the cure of bad smelling feet. And I will leave my toenail clippings.

I attempted a 13 stage multi today. Found the first 12 stages and then couldn't find the final. A very tough to log DNF.
