  1. I'm not sure which cache you're referring to but I did see this note on one of yours (GCH778)...

    The rangers could be writing tickets today but The Bureau Chief has asked them to hold off until 1 July, 2007 giving us the opportunity to police ourselves.

    Sounds like you have plenty of time to schedule some time to go remove your caches or to ask *nicely* that someone bail you out on this.

  2. I hoping someone in Virginia can help me locate a missing TB. It was picked up in May by Lady Catlett. I have sent a number of email messages through this cacher's profile, but have not received a reply and the TB has not been placed in a cache. If any of you know this cacher, could you please urge them to release this TB? Thanks.

  3. We love original hints.

    Here's some of ours...

    * GCNPVN

    How do you know if the elephant in your refrigerator is a female? By the pink nail polish.

    * GCQAQ3

    [Hint 1:]

    Four Lil Elephants, oh what a sight!

    Swinging their trunks from left to right.

    Three are followers, and one is the king.

    They all walk around in the circus ring.

    [Hint 2:]

    The elephant has a trunk for a nose,

    And up and down is the way it goes.

    He wears such a saggy, baggy hide

    Do you think two elephants would fit inside?

  4. We went after a cache today (GCW3TF) that was in a pretty residential type area. Parked near a sign that said "Elmwood Park", walked 1/5 mile down a paved trail then started hearing all kinds of duck calls. Apparently the duck hunters didn't like us interrupting their hunt. I really did not expect to encounter any hunters in this park.

  6. I had a couple of "experienced" cachers comment negatively about one of our hides. That's fine. They are entitled to their opinion. I had others who commented on how much they enjoyed it.

    I have also commented a couple of times about caches. It irks me when multistage caches are done by writing coords on benches, signs, walkways, etc with permanent marker. One that we did like this was hidden by a new cacher so I suggested a few nearby multistages that they could do for ideas on ways to hide the coordinates without defacing public property. They thanked me and I didn't think anymore about it until this week when I did a new multistage they put out. I was thrilled to see that there was no grafitti on this one.

    There have also been some hides that I really didn't like the way it was done but I did not say anything. Like the one where the hider drilled a hole in a tree, inserted the cache, the put a branch over it to conceal it. Oops... I guess I've commented on that one now too. :D

  7.

    Isn't English just a GRAND language???

    in·flam·ma·ble ( P ) Pronunciation Key (n-flm-bl)

    adj.

    Easily ignited and capable of burning rapidly; flammable. See Usage Note at flammable.

    Quickly or easily aroused to strong emotion; excitable.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    [Middle English, liable to inflammation, from Medieval Latin nflammbilis, from Latin nflammre, to inflame. See inflame.]

    I stand corrected.

  8. Weapons, and any substances or things that are illegal, hazardous, alcoholic, inflammable, threatening, sexually explicit, profane, discriminatory, or gambling-related are not allowed in any cache.

    Hmm... no fireproof swag? Wait... That means Geocoins can't be placed in caches in Kent County parks. :rolleyes:
