  1. We were in Arizona a couple years back. While we were ordering diner, the waitress said she liked our southern accent. I started to tell her the accent wasn't southern, it was hick.
  2. I have wanted to do this for a while. Maybe a cache hunt could be incorporated into the get together. I have a couple ideas.
  3. I have only tried one travel bug. [http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=10234] It has only moved one time. It has been sitting in the cache since May 2001. Perhaps no one likes the goal. What is the longest you have had a bug stay in one place?
  4. I purchased mine from 4x4books.com It is currently priced at $214.00. That includes shipping. I have ordered two from them. (one for my brother) had good results with both orders.

  6. OOps, I put this in the wrong catagory earlier. Let me try again. This may have already been done. I have an idea for a cache, help me out. I was thinking of putting together a small cache and tossing it into the river. I think it would be interesting to see how far it would travel or if anyone would find or log it. I had the idea while on vacation at the beach watching the surf. I thought of the message in a bottle.
  7. I have been hunting benchmarks for a long time, even before I had a GPS. All of the ones closest to me have been moved or destroyed. As far as helping, I'm not sure. I did report one of benchmarks as being moved. I was e-mailed asking for other info. The benchmark is now listed as destroyed.
  8. It sounds like I'm not alone. It appears that alot of the caches get junk. I have placed two, and have a third ready. I tried to put desirable items in them. Nothing very expensive. A couple of three dollar things, then some smaller stuff, something to make it interesting. It would be good to keep geocaching from becoming an expensive hobby like a lot of the things I would enjoy doing if I could afford them. But you don't have to clean out the kitchen drawer before you go. Oh, I enjoy the hunt also and the time I get to spend with my wife.
