  1. I think an event cache would be great for your 600th cache!!! How about a sundowner on Clifton, or signal hill? (We have just got back from holiday and read this thread this morning)
  2. I have recently aquired an HP iPAC Pocket PC and was wandering if their is an easier way using caching notes than Mobi Pocket reader. I was hoping that someone may know of a similar program to GSAK that would work on the iPAC.
  3. Congratulations Aaron & Taryn, we know your newbie will bring you great joy and happiness (and dirty nappies ) With love from Colin, Alison, James and Michaela
  4. Still waiting for our tags to arrive, but if you could CC us in (with regards to your postal address), that would be great! Ditto, thanks
  5. This a great cause and needs our support. We have applied for a TB, lets hope we are selected!!

    Welcome

Vespax, a word of marital advice: You can take the non-geocacher to water, but you can't make her drink
  7. Great design!! We obviously don't spend enough time on the computer chatting on the forums, a bit slow off the mark here... Vespa, did you get down from the mountain in one piece?
  8. Well done Erik! I must say we are always very impressed at your speedy and efficient service!
  9. You can count us in this year, I have just ordered our tags and will start thinking of a cool bug to join in the race.
  10. We will be around on the 23rd and would love to join you
  11. This sounds like it is going to be a fun event! We would have loved to join in but unfortunately we are going to be the Eatern Transvaal that weekend Hope you guys have a great time.
  12. I picked up TB P-38 today, which was owned by Motogrrl and found the following note posted for it: Can someone please make sure this travelbug moves along Leigh Ann Hussey, aka motogrrl, a talented musician and dancer, beloved friend of many, avid geocacher died in an accident while on her bike. She was full of energy and will be missed by many please help carry out this travelbugs mission so it can return back to her family Can anyone help this TB get back to Motogrrl's family in th US?
  13. Thanks for this link, I have dropped my three lost TB's off there Did you know that there are 2758 TB's resting in the Graveyard?
  14. We own three TB's. Your thread inspired me to check up on them as they have not been logged in ages. Saddly we report that all three are MIA (2 lost in Canada and 1 in Netherlands). The Netherlands one was muggled and the other 2 probably retrieved and never logged. We sympathise with you Matata and wonder if the whole TB thing is worth it?
  15. Well done to QFC on starting up and maintaining an awesome site (www.geocachingranking.com) It keeps the game alive and up to date!! We would like to know how the fruit selection fits into the whole ranking thing. Why were we a cherry and now a pineapple?
  16. We were in that area a couple of weeks ago with our 60CS and had no problems with it switching off.

Thanks for the wishes. Geocaching for us is about participating and having fun as a family. We have had great fun and enjoyment finding these 100 caches. Congratulations to GS&Dogs!!
  19. Interesting topic. I sent the same question to Groundspeak earlier this year and this was the reply.
  20. I tried to find this site, but could not. Please supply the full web address. Thanks
  21. S 34° 04.985 E 018° 49.604 UTM: 34H E 299481 N 6226500 Hi guys I have set up this cache for you, but unfortunately it hasn't been approved yet which is why it is not available. The co-ords are as above which will lead you to the closest entrance, just follow your nose from there! Please tell Eric or Richard on duty that you are geocachers, they know to expect you and to look after you! The cache is a small one, about a 500ml little bucket, so take smallish stuff if you want to exchange. Oh, and good luck...
  22. Hi Caches Aly of Colinaly works for an adventure event organising company and would like to add a little something to your pot of caches in Somerset West. Dellrust Cache is missing and until we can find another spot out of the eyes of farm worker muggles, we are not going to replace this cache. However, I am keen to set up a cache at the place where I work which will entail a spot of very controlled rock climbing, suitable for beginners, at an indoor rock climbing wall. You will receive all the gear needed, instruction etc, and I will arrange it that you only pay R10 per climb instead of R30. Is anyone interested in me setting this up and for you to include this on Saturday when the event cache happens? Let me know, Aly
