  1. The State Parks of Arkansas have requested a list of caches in there parks and natural areas. Anyone knowing the location of caches please list them here. So I may e-mail them, for me not to be able to contact them , there cache may be archived. Every caches that is already in a state park or natural area will have approximately 30 days to visit the location office and fill out a permit for cache placement. ( NO EXISTING CACHE WILL BE GRANDFATHER IN ) NEW caches you must also visit the park office and fill out a permit and the cache owner will be asked to confirm that they have one before it will be approved. You don’t have to be the cache owner to post it here. Not all cachers read the forums. Please post the cache name , GC# and what park or area its in. SAVE A CACHE LIST IT HERE !!!! If for some reason you can’t get to the park for an existing cache for a permit let me know e-mail address below Tennessee Geocacher Geocaching.com admin TennesseeGeocacher@geocachingadmin.com

  4. This a good IDEA but would not be needed if the cache placer would properly rate the terrain a level at 1, ask yourself can a person roll or get the cache while sitting in a wheelchair if not please raise the Terrain level to at least a 1.5 I have always been amused at caches pages that say wheelchair accessible until the last 10 feet ,what are they supposed to do fall out of their wheelchair and crawl over to the cache. In the states where I normally approve caches I try to make sure they are, by asking if a wheelchair can go all the way to the cache. Hopefully one day we will all be on the same page and can just look at the rating and know if it is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. Tennessee Geocacher Geocaching Admin

  9. Does anyone else know of any other cache placement regulations in AR. TG
  10. Arkansas Natural Areas They do still allow limited caching, but require permission. They have a "collection permit" the cacher must fill out before permisson will be granted. Their website has a map that details the 59 natural areas. Feel free to send me an email before approval. TG
  11. Because you SoupNazi and Blodlizrd work side by side you need to work out who you want to be today TG
  12. This type of cache is allowed but, it has the same requirements as your last cache the 12 budas. They have to be met before it will be approved. Your friendly neighborhood admin Tennessee Geocacher
  13. ZingerHead, you are the man. TG
  14. We have one city here in Tennessee that when a cache is placed anywhere in there area that the cacher has to go to the police dept. and mark on a map where its at and what type of container it is in. The cache can even be a ammo box just so they know where they are all located . The container must also have geocache on the outside. A local cacher had to go and retrieve his cache from the evidence lock up room. There is less than 25 regular caches in there area. Tennessee Geocacher Geocaching Admin
  15. Like you know how a computer hacker goes to prison after their caught 5,000 times with their hands in the cookie jar and is released and gets a job as a consultant for IBM. Well that’s me. Geocaching Style I am having fun for three to four hours a day reviewing caches and loving it. TG And of course the free use of the Lear Jet, and the personal hummers are a plus to. 16. The state parks of TN have requested a meeting with Joegps the liaison for parks and natural areas with the MTGC within the next two weeks to discuss the future of geocaching in TN. He has requested information for the meeting that I do not have but a lot of you do, why because you have been there to find a cache. He’s has to be able to tell them accurately how many caches are in state parks, natural areas and forest across the state. You don’t have to be the cache owner to post it here. Not all cachers read the forums. Please post the cache name , GC# and what area its in. Thanks for your understanding Tennessee Geocacher Geocaching.com Admin.

  19. TENNESSEE Caches in TN State Parks must have permission from the manger of that park before a cache is placed. They are working on a permit now, but as of yet is not in place and a guide for all there parks to follow. Metro Nashville / Davidson City park by permit only before cache is placed Murfreesboro Parks , No caches at this time are allowed Clarksville, Parks by permission after the cache is placed , the cacher has to show them where it is at Athens Parks by permission before cache is placed Goodlettsville, A map is inside the Police Dept. that must be marked where all caches are at and what type container they are in. The word geocache must be on the outside Nachez Trace Parkway , No caches of any kind If There Is More Please post them here TG
